Purchase: Traded 23's for the 17's @ Dolf Unlimited. The MX 17's listed for $499 with steel shafts.
Pros: I liked the 23's, but found the extra forgivness beneficial to my game. Overall easier to hit the 17's.
Cons: I really preferred the thin topline of the 23's. There is always a trade off.
Quality: Mizuno's quality is outstanding. That is my opinion for all of there golf equipment.

Review Summary: I also had the 04' Big Bertha's and found both the 23's and the 17's more forgiving. For me the MX17 works well, and is one less thing to deal with, increasing the fun factor.
