Purchase: bobicks golf in chesapeake va. paid $699
Pros: I like the look, the feel, the forgiveness, the distance, and the workability even on short irons since they are progressive cavity (8-pw are muscle back, and the undercutting become more evident as you go to the higher irons).
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Quality: Top of the line in looks, and they don't scratch or dent easily at all, which surprises me since they are forged. Excellent.

Review Summary: I love mizuno, i think you will to if you try them. If you shoot in the 90's, try the mx17's, 80's or lower, these are the clubs for you.

Purchase: I paid $629 at Golf super store.
Pros: I had played for 20 years with Ping Eye 2's and really had not found a more forgiving club. I had never owned a new set of clubs in my life. All of my sets including the Pings were purchased used. So I treated myself to a new set of clubs and I confess that at least 50 percent of my decision was on "looks" alone. I tested all of the game improvement irons and most of the blades including Mizuno's other models. These were easily the easiest to hit, but I think they were also better than the MP32's and MP60's. Mizuno engineers must have had a meeting to design an improvement club and consider every engineering gimmick for forgiveness and length and said "let's do them all." They put every single power and forgiveness feature into the club. The long irons (3-7) have a low center of gravity allow the ball to get up; they also have a milled cavity slot (each slot is milled to a different width) to expand the sweet spot making mishits go almost as far as center hits; the bar in back of the cavity acts like a muscleback for searing penetrating ball flight; the scoring irons (8-PW) have a muscle back for more punch and workability. If that were not enough they added u-grooves for stopping power and bite. I added Tour Flighted 5.5 Rifles to reduce the dispersion (golly I love technology) and Golf Pride Tour wraps because I don't like Mizuno grips. Going from caste to forged took about four rounds to get used to, but a nice smooth swing produces astonishing length especially from the scoring clubs. When the the ball is struck precisely on the sweet spot the only sound you hear is the swing, the ball takes off in a nice high trajectory then hits warp factor 9 about 1/3 way through its trip. I always thought the square groove pings would remain in my bag (I keep the sand wedge)but they are going to my nephew. I can't empahsize the "smooth swing" aspect enough for these clubs. If you swing to hard they just don't respond. The engineers did their job and the club does a lot of the work if you swing smoothly. As a friend of mine once said, "swing smooth, you learn to live with the extra distance."
Cons: The forging is beautiful, but the milled cavity slot always needs to be cleaned because if you let water stay in there it will rust. Mizuno should give you a little brush or something to clean that slot.
Quality: Superb!!

Review Summary: I think this is the best club on the market, period. I think it is Muzuno's best club, period. Remember how you felt when you moved from a standard transmission to an automatic in a high performance car. That is the feeling!

Purchase: I saw it in a demo day at the course that IM playing at. I paid $599 for the set with a custom fit S300 shaft.
Pros: Very forgiving and gives a lot of feedback if you mishit the ball. I gained 2 clubs with the MX23. Also you cannot replace the solid forged feel of this unit. I really love this iron and I will stick with this iron set for a long long time.
Cons: Need to pay attention to cleanliness of the set and make sure that you do not use iron covers since it will rust especially with the short irons. Make sure that you clean it with only a nylon brush and if you do have early signs of rust clean it with either a nylon brush or a green scrubbing pad with some WD40 to get the rust out. Also make sure that the unit is always dry to prevent rust build up.
Quality: Great forged feel and very easy to hit. Regardless of the handicap this iron is a sure winner in anyones bag.

Review Summary: Long and forgiving. Cannot put a price tag on the firged feel and the forgiveness.

Purchase: Nevada Bob's $600 list but I traded 3 drivers even up for the set. Researched clubs that would be forgiving yet be more of a "feel" club. I've hit Ping G2's all year. Great forgiveness but everything was just generally headed in same direction. No great shots. Pro suggested maybe get a more "feel" club in higher irons so I looked at blending a set of low iron Pings & feel clubs in high irons. Couldn't hit the Ping S-59's & tried TM RAC LT's & MX23's. MX23's won on the range & in 3 rounds I stuck more pins then in an entire summer. MX23 low irons just as forgiving as the Ping HL's, a surprise!
Pros: Slim top line, 1 extra club distance, forgiveness galore, and they look like a players club but play like a game improvement club. Forged vs cast was a great decision for me.
Cons: Nothing so far.
Quality: I believe first rate quality and I like their grips in comparison to other manufacturers irons.

Review Summary: I cannot say enough good things about the MX 23's. If you are looking for more "feel" in an iron yet not sacrifice forgiveness then you really should consider trying out these irons. I think you'll be happy you did.
