Mizuno MP-R Golf Wedges - Reviews

Details: 52,56,60 degree wedge set

Purchase: I purchased these from an online fitter for $269 I think. I also purchased 4-PW MP 60's. Both sets were Nippon 950 soft stepped Stiff shafts. I had the MP 60's in R flex last year, loved the length but went a tad stiffer for control.
Pros: Everything. I was bouncing back and forth between the heavy Vokey's and the Cleveland sole grinds. Cleveland didin't offer Nippon shafts and in the end, the heavy, thumplike Vokey's lost out to the sleeker, lighter Mizuno's. I love the 56 sand and 60 lob. Use the 56 off the tight fairway lies or for chipping off the green and the 60 in the sand and greenside rough. I'm still getting used the sole grind on the 52 gap but have had some great shots with it.
Cons: Nothing.
Quality: The MP-R's have a rounded toe, which I like. If Vokey decides to come out with a lighter wedge set, maybe I'll give them a try but my last set was Cleveland. I wore them into the ground but I'm just as happy with the MP-R's.

Review Summary: Most the top name wedges give the same spin, control and distance. It's just what you prefer in feel.
