On 2008-10-09, Bad Driver Nickent rated this Nickent 3DX Square a 1...(8184)

Details: Breaks year later, Bad Customer Services,

Purchase: I paid $199 when it first came out. Worst decision I ever made. Should of bought proven name brand.
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Quality:

Review Summary: Stay away from Nickent

On 2008-07-16, FatCat rated this Nickent 3DX Square a 5...(8135)

Details: 11.5* loft 46 in stiff shaft

Purchase: local purchase on sale for $100
Pros: Very easy to hit straight with a low ball flight..
Cons: It does make this very loud bang when hit.
Quality: First rate construction and appearence.

Review Summary: The reason I bought this was because I have a hard time hitting 3 wood off the tee. So basically this driver goes 200 yards for me if I lay off it a bit. It will go almost as far as my R7 if I hit it well. Very easy to line up and hit. Even with 11.5* loft ball flight is low. The one inch longer shaft isnt a problem. I had more trouble with a 44 in nike than this. For the price I am very happy with this driver. And you get used to the sound.

On 2008-05-22, Tom from Lafayette rated this Nickent 3DX Square a 2...(8087)

Details: 10.5 loft r/shaft

Purchase: I purchased this off e/bay for $89. I bought it as I wanted to try the square headed driver at a cheap price. (This was brand new and still in the wrapper)
Pros: The ball goes straight. That's about the best thing I can say for it.
Cons: It has a 46 inch shaft, making it difficult to control. I found myself choking up quite a bit. Also the impact sound is loud and annoying. Ball flight is extremely low. Distance is a lot less than the Cobras, Taylor Mades and Callaways that grace by garage wall.
Quality: Just feels like a cheap club compared to TM and Callaway.

Review Summary: I'm a driver junky. That constant search for the magic club that will cure my fade tendency and get it in the fairway on the narrow driving holes. This club does not qualify for me. Luckily my new club budget is about $1000 a year so I've still got $900 left to go in search of more magic sticks. Mr. Nickent will go to the end of the line in the garage take up official retirement.

On 2007-12-11, DocT rated this Nickent 3DX Square a 5...(7976)

Details: 460cc titanium face, titanium body and crown. 10.5* loft. 46' stock UST Proforce V2 graphite shaft. Regular flex. 2* closed face. Stock Lamkin NNG grip.

Purchase: Purchased this Nickent driver at Golfsmith for $146 (after coupon discount). Saw a show about Nickent and their drivers, so I figure I'd try it out. And at this price, it's not that bad.
Pros: Looks like a Nike Sasquatch. Sounds really loud on contact with the ball, almost like an aluminum baseball bat hitting against an aluminum trash bin. REALLY LOUD, as if you're in a batting cage. The sound grabs peoples attention on the range, and not what I was looking for. At address, all you can see is this huge square crown behind the ball. After contact, the ball just flies off the titanium face. Ball goes up high and straight, from the square design, of course. This driver won't cure your slices, but it will help keep your ball on the fairway on mishits. The 3DX is very forgiving. Not too shabby at all! My golf buddies were impressed with the driver's performance when I took it out to the course just 3 days after purchase. The weight of the club feels very light during the swing. The UST Proforce V2 shaft is just outstanding.
Cons: What really annoys me is the lound BANG after hitting the ball. Even mishits sounds really good and loud.
Quality: Quality of the driver is really good. Nothing really bad about it at all.

Review Summary: If you can get along with the loud bang after every hit and don't mind the attention at the range, then go for it. If you're new to golf and don't really slice/draw, and want straight ball flight, then go for it. Other than that, nothing is wrong with this club.
