On 2005-04-04, Hayden rated this Nickent Genex 3DX Ironwood a 4...(5318)

Purchase: Bought it as part of a set, replacing my hard to hit three and not much better 4 irons. They retailed at around $200aud me thinks. I got the three in steel and the 4 was a snap purchase picking up the new clubs and got it in graphite.
Pros: Easy to hit, relatively cheap for a quality club, high trajectory so you reduce the roll (i prefer the lay up or on the green accuracy). Looks ok too
Cons: The sound a good shot makes isn't that great, but then the feel and seeing it soar and land where you wanted is worth so much more.
Quality: Haven't had it too long, but barely scratched the face and sole... Haven't had a problem with paint scratching.

Review Summary: These things are the next biggest thing in golf. The pros use them, etc etc. Try it out and see just how easy "long irons" can be.
