Purchase: Purchased at Golf Galaxy for about 25 bucks. I wanted a softer yet high performance ball that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Golf Digest Magazine had a HOT LIST in their February 2005 issue, and this ball is highly recommended.
Pros: I tried it out and I liked it immediately. There are two versions of this ball, the NXT and the NXT Tour. I've heard that the regular NXT is in the 60's as for compression, and the Tour version is in the 70's, so I went with the Tour. It feels plenty soft, and goes a long way.
Cons: No problems yet.
Quality: Fine quality.

Review Summary: Just re-read why I bought it. You don't have to pay an arm and a leg for a great golf ball. It goes long. It is soft enough to give you great touch around the green, and it spins well on approach shots. If you don't want to pay the big bucks for the PRO V1 or whatever, play this. I'll bet that the average golfer will like it better than the more expensive balls. I swing 90-100 mph with the driver, hit a seven iron 150 yards, and this ball works great for me. Give it a try. Everybody should experiment a little with different golf balls to find the one they like the best. A decade ago, I used to play those old Titleist DT's for years in a 90 compression, but they are no longer even around. These are light years better than those were. The new balls really do make a difference.
