Purchase: After reading reviews on this website, I tested the Nike, Taylor Made 360, and the Wilson Deep Red. I was only able to hit them into a simulated screen at my local golf shop, but the Nike felt the best in my hands and easiest to hit consistently straight and far. I purchased it brand new on eBay for $100.
Pros: I've played about 5 rounds with it now and I'm still getting use to it. I use to play with a knock off brand which had a much smaller head. Probably a 275. So the larger head is taking some getting use to, but when I connect with this club it really flies. I live at 6000ft altitude, so I get a little more distance than you flat landers, but I consistently hit this club 250-300 yards. I still get very good distance (maybe 10% shorter) and straight shots even if I hit off the toe or heel, but a bad swing will still create very erratic shots. I currently hit in the high 80's and I think this club has helped shave a few strokes off my game. When I do connect with it, my playing partners jaws drop open, and they've nick names it "Swoosh".
Cons: It may be forgiving off the toe and heel with a good swing, but if I take a bad swing, it certainly isn't forgiving. After 5 rounds and many visits to the driving range, I'm still having trouble keeping it straight and it's gotten me into a lot of trouble on the course. I've had huge slices. Not just small, but I mean shots that can literally take a 90 degree turn, and with the distance this club creates, I've found myself way out of bounds a number of times.
Quality: The club is beautiful to look at and feels great it my hands. Good grip, and the overall construction is excellent.
Review Summary: I'm happy with the club, especially for the price. I'm sure with more practice I'll be able to hit it straight much more consistently, and once I do, my scores will drop significantly. Until then, I can only rate it a 4.
