Purchase: I demoed this driver at a local municipal course during a "Try it before you buy it" day. They were asking the standard price of $399.99. I had just purchased a GBB II 415 from Callaway right before this came out and wanted to see if I had made the right choice.
Pros: The head on this club definitely packs a whallop. The ball absolutely explodes off the clubface, albeit, not noticeably more so than my Callaway. The head is the major winning point with this club. Great distance of 280+ with this club, but the whippy nature of the shaft had me hitting it all over the place.
Cons: The stock Fujikura shaft even in a stiff is a whippy limp noodle of a shaft. I am playing an Aldila NV 65 Stiff in my GBB II 415, and it feels like a 2X4 in comparison. A stiff shaft should mean stiff. Nike should be embarassed putting this shaft on this head. A premium shaft installed by the factory would make the Ignite an absolutely killer club. This is an option, but they didn't have any available at the demo day. Don't bother with the Fujikura stock shaft unless you need help getting the ball airborn.
Quality: Head= Crushing power. Shaft= Limp Noodle.

Review Summary: Do not bother with the stock shaft whatever you do. An absolute winner of a clubhead with an underperforming loser of a shaft. Good thing Nike offers premium shafts installed by the factory or they'd have trouble getting rid of these just like their previous drivers. I am rating this club a three below, 1 for the shaft, 5 for the head, take the average. After trying this version of the Ignite, I am that much more pleased with my Callaway 415.
