On 2007-01-07, ParOne rated this Nike Sasquatch a 5...(7574)

Details: 10.5 Stiff flex standard length

Purchase: This is actually my neighbors club. He got it on a recent trip along with a set of Nike iron's. I had to try it out and see what all the hype was about. Wowzers, this club really hit the long ball. It definately promotes confidence at setup when your looking at that clubhead. The sound the ball makes coming off that face makes you know you just hit a great ball even on mishits. The clubhead is huge but I don't think that its obnoxious.
Pros: Great grips and the construction looked well. Like I said before, I like the way the ball sounded when it came off the club face.
Cons: I don't like that if my neighbor begins to hit like me he will catch up. Other than that, nothing. Wait, the price tag isn't great.
Quality:

Review Summary: I would buy this driver if your looking to updgrade a older set but not if your going from beginner to Tiger Woods.

On 2006-05-27, Missouri Mule rated this Nike Sasquatch a 5...(6965)

Details: 10.5 loft, Grafalloy Blue Pro Launch 65S

Purchase: Went to a demo day at Perche Creek in Columbia, MO. I demoed the Sasquatch only. I did hit the R7 as a friend of mine was getting fitted. It was long but I didn't want to jack around with moving a bunch of weights, that's the last thing I need in my head during a round. One wayward tee shot and I'd be reaching for the wrench (I know, I know, you can't modify your equipment during a round). Anyway, I opted for the 460 with 10.5 loft and the Graffaloy Blue 65S. The Tour model is a little more pleasing on the eye but I wanted all the forgiveness I could get. I buy all my equipment from Perche Creek, I will not put a price in this but I was treated well, especially with the upgraded shaft.
Pros: First of all, I'm somewhat of a driver junkie so I won't go into all I've owned or hit. Also, I'm fairly athletic but I sure can't hit the ball as far as a lot of the other reviewers. With all the golf I play, I never seem to see these amateurs that hit the ball religiously over 300 yards but based on the reviews, they are out there. I'm afraid I have to call BS. Average drives of 300-340 yards? I guess these people are playing somewhere void of the earth's gravitational pull. The Sasquatch is a little odd appearance wise. It's kind of squatty looking with a a narrow face, unlike my G2 which has a taller face and looks less bulky. It is very light which may cause you to overswing it. Overall, the driver screams 'kill me'. The kill swing created low, line drive hooks for me. After two or three frustrating rounds and time at the range, I learned to open the face a bit at address and then put a solid swing on it. Yes boys and girls, it is long and pretty straight. Yesterday, long, high draws were the norm. Driver and sand, gap or pitching wedge into the par fours (short course of 6100 yards, par four's in the 369 to 400 range and some gnarly rough). For some reason, the Sasquatch is very consistent at getting hit on the center of the club face. My guess would be that is largely due to its being shorter than your standard, graphite shafted driver, and thus, easier to control. It sounds good at impact, you definitely know when you hit it on the screws. I found teeing the ball so 2/3rds of it are above the crown with the tee tilted slightly backwards to be optimum. If you are having trouble getting the headcover on and off, perhaps you need to lift some weights. You probably wouldn't want to do that though, it might cost you yardage on those 300+ yard drives! Personally, I have had no issues with the head cover. With all the different shaft options, I recommend you try several different types, flexes and lofts before purchasing. You may find a 75 gram shaft will help slow down the tendency to overswing this Yeti beast.
Cons: There is nothing I dislike about it. Most people are not going to hit their drivers consistently day in and day out. This much I've learned about this often cruel but sometimes beautiful game. It did take over a month to get the custom order. I guess that's expected from a manufacturer when annual sales are anticipated at 70,000 on a club and suddenly you have over 200,000 orders. That should simply speak for how good this driver really is.
Quality: Superb quality. Nike has really made themselves a player in the industry with this stick.

Review Summary: I believe the Sasquatch is a great driver and I'll rate it a five based on it's overall distance and forgiveness. I'm sure there will be something else next year that will probably be better, but I'll still be hitting my Sasquatch. That's saying a lot for me. OK, this is for you big hitters out there. 541 yard par 5, playing straight away. I hit the Sasquatch, with a Pro V1, and was 155 from the green. Nine iron in but three putted for a disappointing par. My Nike T130 Black Oz failed me, still a great putter. I failed to mention a couple of things here. 30 mph wind directly at my back and a hard fairway. I tried to punch the nine iron but combination topped/skulled it and the hard fairway allowed it to roll to the edge of the green. Bottom line, this does not make my average drive 386 yards. Please people, be realistic on your yardages. By the way, I shot an 85 that day. I think my buddy was kind with the pencil during that round.

Details: This is the yellow and black 460cc with the firm shaft.

Purchase: When I was in the Pro Shop I saw there were demo clubs which you can try out. I picked up the Nike Sasquatch with a firm shaft to see if that would help my accuracy. The price of the club is around $300.
Pros: The first time I used the driver I took my normal stance and aimed towards the left of the fairway expecting a slice. I was surprised that the ball landed exactly where I aimed it, in the left rough. The next hole I took aim at the fairway and landed the ball inside the fairway. With my normal swing I was hitting the ball 200 to 240 yards. There was very little roll since it had rained earlier. But the most important thing was the accuracy.
Cons: Nothing major, though the feel of the ball hitting the club seems much different then other drivers I've hit.
Quality: Even though it was a demo unit it was in good shape. You could tell it had been played a lot, but the contruction looked solid.

Review Summary: I would have bought this club right after the round, but I want to try a few more clubs on an actual course. I would like to see a few more yards of distance and still have the accuracy. I will try the Sasquatch with the regular shaft next and see if that makes a difference. If only I could convince my wife to let me spend $375 on a custom fitting :)

Details: Sasquatch 9.5* Stiff

Purchase: Puetz Golf in Seattle. Excellent customer service, they let me demo 8 or 9 drivers to find the right one. Launch monitor a big plus. This club felt the best in terms of weighting, balance and swing feel. Used impact tape and I had consistent on-center hits with this driver, where I had a tendency to be all over the face of other drivers I demo'd.
Pros: Excellent feel on off center hits as well as a nice sound, not too loud or 'tinny' sounding. Great swing feel and confidence inspiring at address. Easy to square up the face on impact and a good balance to the driver as well.
Cons: Big headcover, but it fits over the driver really easy, sounds like they improved this over the earlier versions.
Quality: Excellent finish and quality. Nike has put a lot of thought into this product and the customer service follow thru was excellent. They contacted me after two weeks of ordering to make sure the product was as promised. Top notch customer service from Nike.

Review Summary: Great driver, I am hitting consistent drives in the 245 to 255 range down the middle. I was never getting consistent distance with my old Cobra SZ400 driver. Very happy with the Nike product and would highly recommend this club. I will not hit the farthest of my group, however last weekend I was the most consistent in getting to the middle of the fairway and put myself into par of birdie situations on 13 of 18 holes. Huge improvement for me in one of my best scoring games (81).

On 2006-02-07, DR.golf rated this Nike SasQuatch a 5...(6644)

Details: The Sasquatch is black on top, silver around the side, a shiny metal on the bottom, and has a cool looking Yellow Sole plate near the rear. The driver is a 460cc, stiff flex Mitsubishi Diamana shaft, 10.5 degree loft.

Purchase: I purchased the SasQuatch at Austads. There are many reasons why I purchased this driver. First anything Nike makes is going to be good, but this driver is excellent. Second, I tried every driver in the shop and still couldn't find one that could compare to the SasQuatch's forgiveness and distance. Plus as a bonus it was less expensive than any of the good drivers. The driver costed me $300
Pros: This driver is one of a kind. I love the fact that before you hold it you think it will be very heavy, than once you grab it you actually think your stronger than what you really are. Believe me I did. This is a dtick out of the bunch driver with the bright yellow. Everyone will see what you have in the bag(and go home sick). The club head size is hard to get used to, but after a while it becomes apart of you. I'm now hitting it 25 yards longer(no joke). This club is very forgiving. As long as your lined up correctly, and not totally out of control with your swing. It will go straight. And at $300 it pays for itself and more. I suggest doing the ' I bet you I can hit it 20 yards farther than you' bet. The head cover you get with it is huge. mostly black with the SQ on top with the Nike Swoosh under it. On the sides it has yellow edges you see at the bottom of the driver, making it look sharp. Trust me your going to feal like your swinging a sledge hammer.
Cons: I must say there is a flaw that comes with it, but are minor ones and don't affect your ability to play. The head of the driver is generally to big to fit through the bottom of the headcover and takes some force to get it on and off. But like I said it's a minor flaw and does not hurt anything.
Quality: The construction is well made. First class quality. Very sturdy, and well put together. Grips are great, and the shaft is great also.

Review Summary: The bottom line is that the driver can be used by everyone. But you must try the driver before you buy it. I extremly encourage that. What works for me might not work for you. So just try and give as many drivers, including the SasQuatch, a rip.

Purchase: I got this club off of ebay a couple of weeks ago for about $265.00
Pros: This is a great driver. I have been a club junky since I have started playing. I have played with the cobra 454 comp., ping g5 and also the nike ignite. The sasquatch is by far the best I have used. I have an 8.5 loft and extra stiff shaft(stock). I have played about 7 rounds with it. I have been deadly accurate with it. My driving distance has also increased about 10 yards. I have had some drives around 330-350
Cons: nothing
Quality: quality is great

Review Summary: I've never written a review but I have read quite a few to make some decisions on clubs. I think the sasquatch is worth writing one over. It is a great driver. Trust me this is by far the best driver I have put in my bag so far!

Purchase: I hit this club on the Launch monitor when comparing it to my R5.
Pros: Confidence at address - this thing is Huge. If you can't hit the side of a barn, then this club might be for you.
Cons: I found the club a little too heavy. I have no idea what the actually weight is or weather it was just the air resistance of swinging that HUGE head, but on the launch monitor my swing speed went down on average 8 mph. The accuracy was fairly good, but the distance dropped down to 245. Also the yellow is a little distracting. Not a club for me.
Quality: Very High. The shaft was also of a high quality (fujikara?)

Review Summary: Good club for strong players (as in players with big biceps) or people who have difficulty getting the club on the ball. Mishits were forgiving.

Purchase: i got this club a couple of weeks ago at a local sports authority for 3 hundy
Pros: this is a great driver my average drive has increased by 50 yards over when i was using the r7 quad, and also the big bertha ft-3 fusion. i am able to control the ball very well with great speed off the club. i am able to hit it on an average drive about 395- 410 this driver is awesome
Cons: nothing
Quality: enormous, great quality material the head is cool and it has the best name THE SASQUATCH

Review Summary: watch out tiger me and my sasquatch are coming for you
