On 2003-09-03, Jose Cordero, San Juan, PR rated this Nike Synthetic XL a 5...(2234)

Purchase: This glove was acquired in K-Mart, San Juan, Puerto Rico. A total of US$13.95 including tax.
Pros: The package says durable--it's not kidding. For me, a greener golfer with a handicap so high it's not even recognized by the GHI, it's a godsend. I had previously purchased a Team Daiwa golve and a Maxfli Noodle glove. Both of these proved to be tantamount to tissue paper before my super hard grip. The Nike glove, however, exhibited a resillience that the others lacked. It lost its pristine white color rather quickly, but what it lost in appearance it maintained in endurance. Grip was excellent and the fit was very good. it dried failry quickly.
Cons: The Nike glove has no bad points, as far as I can tell. It definately allows the beginner golfer the opportunity to continue practicing without having to buy a new glove every two and a half practices. I would have liked to have a wider choice of colors rather than just white.
Quality: The construction is not geared completely towards breathability, although one may argue that with increased breatheability come an increase in "tearability". The stiching is immaculate and the palm area exhibits an incredible resistance to wear.

Review Summary: The one and only stop for the novice golfer. While classes and better technique will make a beginner loosen up the grip, those crucial first months can be murder on a tight bufget if you have to buy a new glove every 2-3 days. Therefore, the Nike golve is tops for novices.
