Purchase: I bought these clubs because I'm very accurate with my 5 iron down to my pw. I've always had trouble getting consistent distance with my 3iron and the CPR set seemed perfect for my game. I bought this set new from "2nd Swing" for 299.99. Pros: What I love about this set is the CPR iron/woods that replace the sometimes hard to hit 3-4 irons. Thanks to these CPR wood/irons, I'm able to hit straight and long shots (I hit 180 yards with the 26 degree wood/iron, and 200 yards with the 22 degree wood/iron). I now address the ball with much more confidence knowing that even my mishits will end up respectable. I'm not a long ball hitter, but these clubs allow me to play with the big boys... They may out drive me but my second shot with these incredible clubs always keep me in the game! Cons: My only gripe(and it's a small one) is I would perfer these clubs especially the iron/woods to be painted black instead of the candy apple red. But the loud red color is a small price to pay for its great performance. One other note is that I have not seen any of the CPR irons 5-pw availbile with graphite shafts. They could be out there but I haven't seen them. Quality: Top notch from grip, shaft to head. Review Summary: If you are a mid to high handicaper and are looking for game improvement clubs to cut down your strokes, then these are the clubs for you! They will take a few rounds to get used to as I found the CPR irons to be heavier than the Cobra irons I was playing with previously. But once you dial these babies in, you will never want to let them go. I have always loved playing golf, but now with the CPR irons I find myself wanting to play at any and every availible second!

Purchase: I got them (2 utilities & 5-PW steel shaft) from Ebay for $420 (including shipping) in March 2004. I also bought 52*, 56*, 60* from Rger Dunns at $90 each wedge. Pros: At first, it was "hard" to hit because I previously used Callaway X-12 with graphit shafts. Nike CPR felt like at least 30% heavier compared to the graphit. It only took me a few weeks to adjust. I love them due to the fact that they have the same increments in their lofts. All by 4 degrees, and that made all my shots spacing the same. I can go up a club or down one, my yardage increments stays at 15 yards. This set is so reliable I have cut down on my handicaps. I was a 30+ in April, and I am now (in Aug) down to 16 HDCP (well, Ignite driver with proforce shaft also helped). I do think this set is great for high handicaps who has enough strength to use steel shafts and wanted to improve + stablize their game but it may be boring to play with for mid handicappers. It has more loft per iron and that means people can hit it higher and it will land softly, thats why the score will be lowered.
5 Iron = 28*
6 Iron = 32*
7 Iron = 36*
and so on... Cons: Nothing much, except that player do "trade" distance for soft landing... CPR set has more loft, and in return, many players will actually hit "shorter" when using them.
Example: For me
Callaway X12 6 Iron graphit = 185 yrds
CPR 6 Iron Steel Reg = 170 yrds
Slingshot 6 Iron steel Stiff = 185 yrds Quality: They are well constructed. Beautiful red cavity back with Black Nike logo. It muches with any bags. Review Summary: Great buy for high handicappers with strength to use steel shafts. If your are a 30+ or 40+, don't buy any new clubs. Cuz you cannot really tell the differences with any clubs anyways. But if you are 25-30... Buy them !!!
