Details: Steel Shaft Regular 4 - AW
Purchase: Purchased at local shop here in Portland, OR for $699. I was looking at several different sets but decided on these becuase of the prior reviews. Pros: I'm a novice golfer but love to play. I was using some cheap Dunlops for the past few years and wanted to upgrade. I read the reviews and bought a set of these Nike's. They are absolutely incredible. For once I feel I am somewhat in control. Clubs are very forgiving and acurate. Cons: Don't like the grips too much. My hands seem to slip sometimes. Also, I think some of my distance has now been traded for accuracy. Most of my shots were about 10 yards shorter than what I'm used to but 100% more accurate. The trade off is worth it. Quality: Excellent Construction, Solid and they look great. There is sort of a swishing sound on the down swing. Review Summary: Would recommend these clubs to anyone playing at my level. I'm really not a good player at all but like I said, for once I can have a little ball control. Next step....Lessons.

Purchase: I rented a set, while recently on vacation. I never played them before and my lowest score ever was a 93.
Arriving late I was driven up to the tee where three other players had already teed off. I took one practice swing with a 5-iron and to my amazement smacked it out over 200 yards and scored a 51 on front nine and 41 on back. Next day I shot a 90. Pros: Found them to be more acurate than any club I ever used and I've been playing golf for 36 years. I also found I was hitting each of my irons 10 to 15 yards longer. I used an iron instead of a driver or three wood off the tee on any hole less than 375 yards. I could get there in two without any problem and accurately. Cons: If there was anything negative I could say was that they some times give you too much height and playing into the wind may present a problem. Also, since they give you added distance, if your less that 75-yards from the green, I find it difficult to club down. Quality: They look and feel great. I can tell you this, the steel shaft on the Sling Shot do not effect your distance at all. Their construction is A-1 and they look durable. Review Summary: I just bought a set and will be down in GA in a few weeks and hope to get in a few rounds. I'll repost at that time and let you know how a faired. Purchase: I purchased these on the internet GigaGolf under $200 brand new 5-SW w/gap wedge. Pros: These came with steel shafts. They are awesome to hit. Very consistent and straight. Mis hits stay on line and do not loose much distance. Cons: I had Winn Diamond Grips put on these irons and they felt terrible. They slip and don't feel good. I ordered these grips not knowing how they felt. Since then I purchased new grips. Have to get used to the high ping sound when the head makes contact with the ball. Quality: Construction was top quality. Review Summary: For a clone set of Nike SS irons. They are fabulous. Saved over $500 and got the same results. I tested the real NIKE SS at a golf store and they felt and looked the same.
