Purchase: Golfsmith retail store, $109. I have been use an Odessy 2-Ball putter. I had been putting well with it, but I felt like I was fighting it's weight. I went looking for a lighter putter that felt more like an extension to my arm. That is a neutral weight for my stroke, not too heavy or too light. I tried numerous putters. I shopped 3 times trying the same putters over and over. This Nike Mid Mallet is perfect for me. I have played with it 3 times and I have missed very few putts inside 10 feet.
Pros: Great weighting, low and balanced. The insert in the face gives a nice feel when striking the ball. The ball doesn't bounce and spin off the face. The rear flange gives extra alignment for more confidence in direction. I really feel like I am rolling the ball out of my hand, a completely natural feel. Additionally, the putter is relatively inexpensive - $110. I putt better with this putter than any Scotty Cameron putter or any other $150 to $300+ putter.
Cons: There's nothing I don't like about this putter.
Quality: The quality is terrific. A beautifully milled face. The shaft to head construction is solid and I like the grip.
