Purchase: Austad's Golf. $79.99. Wanted to upgrade from my old generic brass putter that I got as a hand-me-down. Pros: Nice soft urethane insert. Balance of this putter is incredible. Three alignment lines help to line it up. Face balanced head keeps it straight back and through. Cons: The grip is kinda cheap feeling, but at this price it's easy enough to replace. I put a Winn Meadlist grip on here and now I'm in heaven. Quality: Really nice. Stainless steel head is durable. I would reccommend always using the headcover to protect the face insert. Review Summary: Great putter. Has helped me take a few strokes off every round.

Purchase: I acquired this putter at my local Dick's sporting goods store and paid 79.99 dollars plus tax for it. I was sick of my old Zebra putter and want to look for a mallet head with better design and quality. Pros: This magnificent putter is stable and can produce a wonderful roll without effort. The first time I took this putter to my local golf course, it shaved 4 strokes off of my total score and consistantly doing so afterwards. To my surprise, even a fairly small stroke with this putter can send the ball rocketing to the hole, even on an uphill putt! The quite attractive design is also one of the many pluses of this putter and certainly makes the putting part of the game fun! Cons: Although the putter is almost near perfection, the feel of it tends to be a little bit too hard and clunky, making long putts a tad more difficult. However, the longer you stick with the club, the easier the distance control will be. Also I disliked the original grip that comes with the club it so I changed the grip to the oversize winn putter grips, but the grip business is no big deal and can be solved easily.
Quality: construction and quality of the Rossie II is like any other odyssey putters, all execellent and nothing to complain about. Review Summary: An execellent putter with nice construction and quality. Easy to play with and is a good stroke shaver. Although the stronomic insert tends to be a little bit too hard for my taste, this is a good secondary option nontheless if the pricy new DFX putters is too expensive for weekend golfers like me. Purchase: Purchased used at Lenny's Golf shop in Aurora, Colorado, for $50. I needed to replace my blade putter with something that was more forgiving with direction. Pros: The Rossie II as a tremendous feel that allows me to control ball speed yet is very forgiving in direction. My old blade putter was too sensitive to improper contact and alignment thus resulting in errant putts to the left or right of the hole. With a heavier club head and well balanced ball striking surface all I need to do is set the proper alignment at address and swing the club. A smooth stroke is all I need to get the ball rolling towards the hole without excessive wobble early in the trajectory. Cons: I'm very big on fashion and looks. While the Rossie II has a less than masculine connotation and average asthetics I will not comprise my improved putting performance very easily. I wish they still made the Zebra line of putters. Quality: The face has a hard rubber insert that makes a subdued contact thud with the ball. A clank is usually more prevelant with a change in gold balls to hollow two-piece construction rather than 3-4 piece designs. The alingment lines along the length of the mallet provided good aid for consistent follow-through. A heel shafted club and offset face provide the needed forgiveness to keep the club in my bag. Review Summary: Overall, this putter is a great value even at the full retail price. My performance has reduced from nearly 50 putts per round due to misjudged speed on long shots and errant directon on short putts to 30-36 putts per round. 3-Putts are a rare performance regardless of my lie on the green!
