Purchase: Purchased this Ogio Nexos golf bag at Plaza Golf in Torrance, CA. I've been waiting for this bag to come out to the public for 2 months. I was lucky the bag was on sale for $169 + tax (MSRP $249.99, online retailers sells it for $199). I had to replace my old bag, which the handle broke off and the straps were shredded. I waited 2 months, and finally I've got this Nexos bag.
Pros: I've always liked a bag with lots and lots of pockets. There is never enough pockets on a golf stand bag. Well, this bag as a LOT of pockets, and then some! The aluminum stand is also very sturdy and light weight. The scorecard pocket and pencil holder is very convenient for walkers, as it's just next to the left hand as you wear the bag. The water bottle is also positioned perpendicular to the bag, which makes it easier to remove while walking with the bag. The velco glove strip is also very handy to have to attach your glove to instead of shoving it down your back pocket. The Arc Lite leg stand is a great design, whcih 'arcs' the legs from open position away (or inwards) from your legs preventing tangles. There's also a cell phone pocket inside the side large pocket. But then again, who has their phone on during a round? The straps are very comfortable, even with 14 clubs, water bottles, and a dozen balls weighing you down.
Cons: The Zipperless Ball Pocket (ZBP) is cumbersome. It retracts automatically, which makes it difficult to get one hand in when the other hand is already occupied (holding a club). The valuables pocket is a little useless because it's very difficult to get your hand in there with it being so tight. The clamshell designed rain hood is difficult to install and remove. If it is left on, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to get to the clubs in the wedge dividers at the very bottom. If you do manage to get it out, good luck in getting it back in. The clamshell opening will constantly close on you. I think this was poorly designed and should have been done better. There is only 1 bottle holder (holster). I wish there were 2. So now I have to use one of the large pockets to hold my extra water bottle. The Ogio Cigar case is small. It's made to hold 3 cigars. Anything larger than a 50-ring guage (without the cellophane wrap) will not fit. A 48-ring guage is about the largest. Unfortunately, there aren't too many churchills in 48. My cigars are usually churchills or torpedos in 50-54 rings.
Quality: Construction is very durable, using 400x400 nylon ripstop material. Quality is very good.
Review Summary: A very good bag for the walker or rider. Convenient pockets for everything you could possibly carry.
