On 2004-05-08, Mark L rated this Ogio Stinger II RAIL a 5...(3611)

Purchase: Las Vegas Golf & Tennis; $175 on sale. I have an OGIO stand bag with the WOODE top. I liked the pocket arrangement on this bag. I was skeptical about the RAIL, but, despite reservations, I bought it anyway.
Pros: The one thing I thought was a gimmick turns out to be what I like the most: the RAIL is perfect. The support holds the bag at a perfect angle and holds it with rock solid security. No rattling and sliding around. No more unhooking the bag to get to a pocket, forgetting to refasten the bag, and accelerating the cart only to find out you've dumped all your clubs and bag on the cart path. The WOODE top is perfect, the club division is useful and the club dividers are full length for every compartment. The pocket arrangement and number of pockets allow easy entry and storage for everything I can think to bring along. With the RAIL you can get into every pocket without unhooking the bag. The ball pocket is spring loaded instead of zipped. I was leary of it to start, but thoroughly enjoy it after use. It's great. The rain hood clips in and is spring loaded also. You spread it to get a club and let it close up on its own. It's a great and useful idea. The top rim is a very soft but supportive material which protects the shafts and is easy on the hands. Removing and inserting clubs is effortless--good for the shafts and the grips. Even full, the bag never seems to be heavy and can be carried very comfortably over the shoulder and on the hip. The RAIL does not interfere when the bag is carried.
Cons: Nothing!
Quality: Excellent quality and very thoughtful construction. (OGIO makes bags for Callaway, also.)

Review Summary: The bag is new, so not too many people have seen it here. I have had many golfers inquire and inspect the bag. I believe the RAIL is such a good and useful idea that there other manufacturers will attempt to copy the concept. If you want a great and useful bag, if you're tired of bags sliding around, falling off, and struggling to get into your pockets while on the cart, and you value a useful and intelligent separation of your clubs while in the bag, you will absolutely love this bag.
