Purchase: Bought at Golftown in Montreal for $128 new.
Pros: What I like - love about this driver is the unbelievable straight distance I get with it, swing after swing. It is a very classy looking club behind the ball, and it has a great balance. It is truelly a grip it and rip it club. It has a huge sweet spot, but the clincher is the hot facce, off of which the ball simply explodes. I hit 3 300+ drives on a wet course with one last week, and that was a regular flex model belonging to a friend (my swing speed is usually around 115 mph or more). I would never claim to get 20 or 30 yards more out of one quality club than another. My Titleist is a long club, ut my longest drives with the HipTi were longer in one round. I also hit it much more accurately, meaning my functional distance average will increase dramatically. It also was a wicked sound when you but the screws to it.
Cons: 1. The head cover is sharp looking, but does not fit too well...it is very tight in the neck - maybe this will loosen up after a while (it will certainly be used a lot). 2. The shaft felt really good, even the reg flex, so I will leave the stock stiff I have for now, but may hit a monitor and change to something more suited to my swing this summer. 3. It is long...I had distances figured out at my course, but now I have to recalculate everything...but I wouldn't say I don't like that, it is a small price to pay.
Quality: The quality appears to be excellent. It is a well constructed club, with a very thin but solid face, and the stock shaft is also very tight - feels better than an after-market Graffaloy I had installed in my 975. I had to change the grip because I have bigger hands, but the stock grip felt plenty sticky.

Review Summary: This club is set up for long, piercing, straight drives, and the harder you swing, the more it gives you (as long as you make a good swing). You can lose it if you are of your game that day, but when you are nutting it - watch it fly...I can't believe no one is using this thing on the long-drive circuit!
