On 2002-09-21, Russell D. Ritchey rated this Orlimar TriMetal hip Ti 420cc a 5...(596)

Purchase: After purchasing the wife some jewelery, it was off to the golf store for my toys. I currently use a Hippo John Daly driver, but have been in the market to upgrade for a while. Told the sales person, I wanted to spend about $400.00 on a driver, and want to hit them all. Adams, Nike, Callaway, Ping, Titleist, Talor Made, Cleveland, Cobra, Zevo and Orlimar. $329.00 later, the Orlimar left with me.
Pros: After hitting all the others, the Orlimar was the only club I could fade or draw with confidence. The back fence at the range is about 250 yards, 85-90 percent swings, and I can clear the fence. 200+ yards out and the ball looks like it is still climbing. Incredible!!! Aesthetically it is a beautiful club, great grips and good color combination. I would have kept hitting bucket after bucket, but the wife gave me the "are you *&#^$@ done yet!!!" look.
Cons: About my only complaint: Too addicting, going to be buying tokens by the handful at the driving range!! And the wife will be giving me the "look" again.
Quality: As well made as any other club I have swung. The price is about average for this level of quality.

Review Summary: If you are looking for a easy to hit, long driver, do not overlook the Olimar. My advice, when looking for clubs try them all and find what works for you. All the large manufactures make execellent products. I hit all these drivers at the range on three seperate occasions, before making the decision. Without confidence in your equipment, you might as well be swinging a 2x4. Thank you Fiddlers Green. www.fiddlersgreen.com
