Purchase: I purchased the Orlimar Trimetal II 26 degree fairway wood from my local pro shop in Albury, Australia. As a 66 year old veteran golfer I was looking for a nine wood or its equivalent to go with my Orlimar set. The Trimetal II version became available and I purchased same for the equivalent of US$180.
Pros: The new smaller style of head together with the new Orlimar regular shaft are a potent combination. My first taste of the wood in competition left me in no doubt about the purchase hitting the ball some 165 yards on the fly around a tree to the pin. Depending on the lie,etc. with roll I can expect up to 185 yards. I found the club easy to line up and swing and certainly easier and more accurate than the club it replaced. It is a great club for medium length par 3's or shots of 160 yards or more from the fairway. Certainly it is the best nine wood or its equivalent I have used.
Cons: There is very little to dislike about this Orlimar fairway wood. Perhaps the standard length shaft could be slightly longer for me, about .5 to 1 inch would be great. Still that is easily rectified by my local professional.
Quality: The construction and quality of the Orlimar Trimetal II fairway wood could only be described as excellent. As with all my previous Orlimar equipment quality and construction leave nothing to be desired.

Review Summary: This is a great nine wood or its equivalent. It is easy to swing and achieves excellent results. I would have no trouble in recommending this club to any person seeking a similar fairway wood.
