Purchase: Bought these wedges off the Pine Meadow Golf website, $19 each plus shipping.
Pros: As I said, I started playing this year after a layoff. I bought a set of Taylor Made RAC OS irons this spring and have enjoyed playing with them all summer. Since this set only went to the pitching wedge, I was shopping for a sand wedge or lob wedge. I was familiar with the Pine Meadow site, so I checked them out. They had wedges there that were really inexpensive, so with little to risk I figured I'd order them and see how they felt. I was really surprised how much I like these two wedges. They are easy to hit and forgiving. They have given me shots that weren't possible for my pitching wedge.
Cons: Pine Meadow is a website that sells clone clubs, I believe these are clones of something in the Ping line. I don't know how they compare to the Pings, but they aren't quite as good as my Taylor Made irons. I believe the Taylors have a low center of gravity and pop the ball higher. I'm extrapolating a little to say this, as I don't have say a pitching wedge from each set to compare directly with each other. The Pine Meadow clubs are close, though, and certainly adequate and much cheaper.
Quality: These clubs are solid and durable.
