Purchase: I was having fits keeping my Titleist 983E on the fairway last year so I decided to look into the newer models of drivers for help. When I went to the driving range I tried the Taylor Made R5 and R7, Calloway 454, and the Cleveland Launcher. The pro at the range had to talk me into trying the Ping G2 because I never cared for past Ping models. I could hardly believe the results. It is longer than the other models and MUCH straighter. I went back and hit it four times before buying it to be sure it wasn't some freak accident the first time. I told my wife I have a new love in my life; the Ping G2 driver !
Pros: The driver is very long and almost scarey straight.I don't try to draw or fade the ball so this is perfect for me. Very nice penetrating ball flight. Love the NV 65 shaft and the quarter moon alignment mark on the crown of the club head. Very forgiving on off center hits. Not a huge loss in distance or direction.
Cons: Didn't like the size of the head but got used to it after one time at the range. The head cover doesn't protect the shaft enough but I'm digging deep here to find something to put in the dislike part of the review.
Quality: Solid construction and feel with a great sound on contact.

Review Summary: I've owned a lot of drivers but this is by FAR the best. Looking for my scores to drop from playing my second shots from way down the fairway!!
