Purchase: Well, I purchased these beauties off of ebay. I paid $750+shipping for them-(new). I have some Cobra ss-i irons that are great, but I've always loved pings.
Pros: Hmmmm where do I start?? These are awesome sticks. Huge distance, pinpoint accuracy, what's not to like. They seem to be extra forgiving so far. My shots rocket at the flag- it just takes a while to recalculate the distances. Surely these are the longest and straightest irons I have ever hit.
Cons: THE BIG PRICE $$$$$$$$$$
Quality: SUPER- these are well made clubs. Ping has always stood behind their products, in my opinion.

Review Summary: Ok here's the deal- my first round out I hit 17/18 greens! The most I have ever hit in a round of golf. My handicap has dropped a good 3-4 strokes in the short time I've had them already. They are very forgiving. I seem to always get a solid hit on the ball with them. I love the CS lite shafts- but make sure you get the right flex, these fit me perfectly. Also, I have to mention a book I've recently read called AMAZING GOLF. Even before I bought the Pings, I was shooting close to par golf. This book is a training manual that goes thru the mental game, practice, playing lesson, full swing, etc. It really has helped improve my game. Before my purchase of this book I was creeping back up into the low 80s. Now, my last 6 rounds have been at par or better. I played a course this week I've never broke 80 on, and shot back to back 69's! Hey give it a try! My golf buddies hate the fact I've read it, I guarantee you that.
