ZING Golf IronsOn 2007-10-13, im4indiana rated this a 5...(7930)
Black dot, zz lite shafts I've been playing golf since I was 14 and now after having a major back surgery, I thought my golfing days were over. Having played Ping Karsten I's, Ping Eye 2s, Ping G2's, I stumbled across a set of Ping Zing's on ebay for a walloping $180! I played a total of three times this year after the back surgery. I used to be able to hit a high, soft shot that felt great. Since the surgery, I had lost that shot. After picking up the Ping Zings, I found that the shot of old had returned. My first trip out with the irons, I shot an 83 which had a '9' and three 3 putts
mixed in with a couple of birdies and several pars. I almost got an ace on a 158 yard par 3. These irons were like butter. I had the high shot back and the ball seemed to be always headed right at the pin, straight as an arrow. Can't wait to get out again before the winter months hit us...I love these irons.... 80's I bought irons on ebay for a really cheap price.
All I had to do was regrip the irons..
Paid $180 for 3-pw. I love the weighting of the irons and even though a lot of people find the look of the iron to be ugly, I like how they set up, real square. Nothing.Ve Very well made as all ping products are...
What an awesome set of irons. I wish I would have tried these years ago. What used to be called one of the ugliest irons ever made, I find them to be very easy to look at, easy to set up and a super large sweet spot.

This set from Ebay 395.00 included shipping I cant imagine there isnt ONE Ping Zing review here, for as much as this design has been talked bad about, I have to say I love my set, I have had a couple of sets and sold them based upon some bad information I got on the web ( had to do with the lofts and seemed too close in the 7-8 irons only to find out later that the information was NOT CORRECT!) So remberign how much I liked them I decided to splerge on the BECU with graphite shafts. Many have said that the Zing set Ping back for years, I happen to love the heavy topline, it provides some comfort in alignment. Hits shots striaght as can be, still one of the highest MOI in any iron made. I have seen my scores improve considerably with my Zings and have it to about an 8 right now. Maybe you cant bend them like Beckham, but most of us couldnt do it with a forged or different iron either. Safe reliable and built for a lifetime the Ping Zing should be a champ. No dislikes at this time. It is a PING...amazing quality, bilt like a tank.
