Details: I have the senior shaft. I had the clothes custom fitted so the length is slightly shorter than a typical women's iron.
Purchase: I got my I3 irons about 8 or 9 years ago. I do not know the cost because they were a gift from my parents. Pros: I love Ping irons. I have only played Ping irons. The oversized I3 irons are my only second set of irons ever. The irons are the best fit for me. I think Ping does a great job fitting irons for you. The irons are very forgiving and have a great strong feel at contact. Cons: There is nothing I do not like about my irons. I may say I hate them when I do not play well but that is not the irons fault. I will only play Ping irons. Quality: My irons are 9 years old and have nothing wrong with them. There are no scratches on any of the heads and the shafts are wonderful. I need a durable, high quality iron because my irons travel everywhere. I like that the irons can take the beating of travel and lots of play. Review Summary: I love Ping irons. I will only play Ping irons. I am better than most average weekend golfers, and I trust my oversized irons completely. I could gain some extra distance by going to more a blade but I like the control of the oversized.

Purchase: I bought two sets from same seller on Ebay. One set with graphite shafts and one with steel. Being left handed they are kinda hard to find. I payed $700 for both sets. I was planning to keep the set I liked best and sell the other. Started with the graphite and have never hit the steel since I like the graphite so well. Both sets are like new, no marks or scratches of any kind. Pros: This is the first set of OEM irons I have ever owned. I don't know about the steel shafted ones since I haven't hit them, but I really like the way the graphite ones feel and set up. Very easy to line up. I can't say they are any longer than my Snake Eyes with steel shafts but they are much easier to use. I may try the set with steel shafts one of these days but I doubt it. I do have Winn Grips instead of the original which I think helps. Cons: I'm sure a more accomplished golfer than I might find something to dislike but I can't. Quality: I used to think Ping Irons with no ferrules looked cheap. I had never looked up close to see the fine bond between the head and shaft. Original grips would be the only downer as far as I'm concerned. Review Summary: I wish I had bought Pings earlier. I would have enjoyed the game more. If they were lost or stolen I wouldn't shop for anything but another set of Ping I/3 O-size. On 2002-05-26, turfcutter18 rated this Ping i/3 O-Size Irons a 5...(132)
Purchase: Went to two demo days before deciding on these, representitve was very helpful in ensuring proper fit, paid $950 for 3 thru PW,U,SW & Lob wedges.(FREE choice of putter included)
Pros: Solid soft feel throughout set, forgiving, NO shock feedback on thin hits, easy to dig thru rough, good spin on greens, high but penetrating ball flight Cons: Every shot has a solid feel, hard to tell between thin, fat or normal shot. Need more time to get use to this. A little on the heavy side Quality: Terrific soft solid feel & NO shock, good grip. Review Summary: Good for all handicap levels, 10yds longer than current set(Rams)
