Purchase: I paid $130 for the PING CRAZ-E G2iat a store in NYC. The reason why I went out and got this putter was because I was using an original StingRay metal mallet putter from about 20 years ago. I hated it, it was heavy, long and I just had no confidence with it. I would walk up to the green and in my head tell myself: “ok, add 3 strokes…” Pros: I like everything about this putter. The grip (default blue) is extremely comfortable and nice. The putter head is also very nice and cool, it is also magnetic. The putter is also extremely light and easy to use. The putter makes it very easy to line up putts; it provides confidence, lots and lots of confidence. The ball comes off the face of this putter with a very nice sound and it just moves like butter over the green. PING was not lying about the high MOI (moment of inertia.) another plus about this putter is that the face is very long and the insert grows across about 90% of the face, unlike the Titleist Rossa Monza, that has a large face but the insert is very small. This putter is great. Cons: There is nothing I don’t like about this putter. It does sometimes comes off the face a little quick, but you can control that. It’s awesome. Quality: The construction and quality of this unit is perfect. Nothing was wrong with mine, everything was perfect, smooth, sturdy… perfect. Review Summary: My final thoughts about this putter are that I think that everyone should try it. Im not saying it’s for everyone, but everyone should give it a try. Personally I think it is better than the Odyssey 2-Ball putter, another putter I was highly into before I found this one. I love everything about this putter. When I was searching for a putter I had very specific things I wanted and I felt like PING made this putter for me. As you can tell I am very enthusiastic about this putter. I love it.

Purchase: Saw the add in Golf magazine and had to try Ping's new funky putter!
Local Pro Golf Discount store.
$149.00
Why? My putting sucks.
Pros: Confidence, confidence, confidence.
At first I thought...Naaa, to big. A little to "wierd". But I love most everything about Ping and grew up with Ping putters until I went with an Odyssey Rossi II 4 years ago.
I went in to buy a new "2-Ball" after using a few of my buddies on the course and really liking the balance.
I used the Ping, the 2-ball, the ping, the 2-ball. It took about 15 minutes and I pulled the trigger on the Craz-E.
A day at the course and an hour on the putting green...I couldn't be happier.
Straight back and straight forward has never been easier for me. Good feel, pretty good look, and consistant results!
Really like the magnetic cover too!
Cons: Funky schmunky, it does look wierd, but how many mallets don't.
Compared to the new Ping Doc 17...this thing is tame! (Have you seen the 17? This redefines Funky. It worked like crazy but Geeze, my bag isn't big enough.
Quality: Great quality as usual from Ping...handle, shaft, and head all seem very precise and solid. Review Summary: Putting is only the second worst part of my game. Now I'm excited to cut strokes by at least 5! I made 5 of 6 from 10 feet with the Craz-E. Usually 2 or 3 of 6 with the old putter. On 2004-04-12, MN_mike rated this Ping Craz-E G2i a 2...(3344)
Purchase: I was at Golf Galaxy looking for a new pair of shoes. Saw these on the wall and had to try it. Wildest looking putter I have ever seen! I think they are asking $149.99 for these. Pros: The G2i insert has grown on me. Initially I thought it was too soft, but after spending some time trying it, it does seem to communicate good feel. The Ping Winn grip is really comfortable. Not much else. Cons: Putting is an act of concentration on two things: the ball and the hole. How you get it there depends on speed and alignment. We all know this, I know. My point being, this putter actually distracts from the task at hand. The alignment line on the "flange" if you will, is helpful in getting the putter aimed correctly. But there is so much "scrollwork" on this putter, your eye has a tendency to wander. I couldn't get a comfortable feeling with this thing. It truly is "Craz-e" looking. Face balanced for a straight back and through stroke only. Don't bother if you like to go inside-square-inside with your stroke a la Philly Mic. Quality: Ping makes a quality product with all their clubs. This is no exception. I have played their irons for years and enjoy them very much. Review Summary: Too Craz-e to be effective on the green -for me anyway! Prefer a more simple approach to putting. On 2004-04-07, Bob Koh rated this Ping CRAZ-E G2i a 5...(3322)
Purchase: I was looking around the golf store last weekend, with the intent of checking out the new TaylorMade Monza putter. I came across this weird-looking Ping putter called Craze-E. What an “As seen on TV” sounding name I thought. Pros: The moment I held it in my hands, and laid it down on putting surface, it felt so comfortable! I must admit that it looked very ‘busy’ at first. As a matter of fact, looking at it from the side, kind of reminded me of a Power Ranger on a motorcycle! With all that, I was sold, just after a few practice putts. I traded in my center-shafted Odyssey 2-Ball for this putter and I am so glad I switched. I absolutely love it!
Once on the green, the feel, the balance, off-center hits, the weight distribution, and feedback from this putter is simply unbelievable. I’m not sure how Ping came up with the alignment design, all I can say is that it felt very easy to aim at address. Loved the sound it makes too. Best putting round ever last Sunday! Only one three-putt. The feedback I got from this putter definitely helped me on my lag putts. I even had one of my foursome who is a die-hard Odyssey fan... start to question, and wanting to try out my putter at the end of the round.
Cons: Nothing. Quality: Well put together. The new Winn grip on it felt very comfortable too - soft and tacky. The cover had magnetic flap, none of the noisy velcro when taking it off. You can even pick it up with the putter without bending down. And yes, one can easily scoop up balls with it! Review Summary: I'm glad I made the switch, and hope that my wagering partners don't!
