On 2005-04-07, Central-MA-Golfer rated this Ping Craz-E a 5...(5330)

Purchase: Bought at retail golf shop, paid $149.
Pros: I recently picked up a Ping Craz-E putter. I’ve used the same Ping Anser for the last 20 years. I tried a large number of putters before settling on the ping. It came down to the Future and the Craz-E. Ultimately, it was the over feel of the Ping, and it’s weight that had me sold. I bought the center shafted model. I really like the overall feel and weight. I never thought I would like a center shafted putter, but for me, this felt the best among the 3 available shaft options. While I haven’t had it for very long, I have to say that I really like it. I feel it’s very forgiving and the ball rolls very nicely when struck. The club has fantastic feel. While a bit awkward looking for some, I would highly recommend giving it a try. The grip is wonderful, the build quality of the club is great, and the head cover seem very sturdy as well. If they could have just called the club something else! It’s a little to close to “Loco” for my tastes, but I can live with the name, given that the club feels so good. I’ll still hang on to my old Anser, but I can’t imagine going back to it anytime soon. The Craz-E just feels so much more solid, while giving much better feedback.
Cons: I wish the grip was just a tad bit longer.
Quality: Extremely well made!

Review Summary: Give it a try. Don't be put off by the oddball name.
