Purchase: 12.99/15 Balls @ Modell's Pros: The ball was relatively inexpensive. For someone who is new to the game, and has a tendency to send balls into the trees, that is a very appealing aspect. The ball also did add some distance to my drive. Cons: The ball felt hollow to me, which, when I struck it, gave me an uncomfortable feeling. I like to hit a ball that I can feel when I make contact. It may be a mental thing, but this game is heavily mental anyway. Although the box advertised it straightening out your shot also, it did hardly anything of the type to my shot at all. Quality: The ball held up well to my drives, but after a few hits with the irons, the cover did start to show wear. A little quicker than I would have expected. Review Summary: As I said in the beginning, the ball is good for those who tend to lose a lot of balls. At that price, you don't mind so much. However, in the future I will opt for a pricier ball that has a better feel to it.

Purchase: I got a 15 unit box at a local sporting
good store.I didn't want to pay a high
price for premium balls(titelest,nike,ext)
so I only paid $16.00 Pros: the box read superior distance, straight flight.I don't red line my driver.I have
slow smooth swing(under 90 mph)and got
250+ yds. This ball has a low spin rate.
There is less side spin that will cause
slices or hooks. It cured my natural fade. Also, the ball has a Ok feel not too
hard or too soft. Nice sound off the clubs.
Snap!! Cons: This ball will not check up on the green
because of low spin. You can't attack the
pin so land the ball in front and let it
roll to the pin.Or a high shot and a soft
landing will work.Be carefull with chip and
bunker shots because the ball will run away
Quality: Pinnacle gold isa sturdy 2 piece ball.
However, it will scuff when it hits on
jagged rocks or cart paths.I used the same
ball for 2 rounds and the preformance remained consistant.Good quality. Review Summary: If you are high handicapper this ball will
not fix your slice. No ball will fix a bad swing. If you are low handicapper this ball
ball isn't for skill shots.You can't get
too creative with a low spin rate ball.
Pinnacle Gold is perfect for the mid
handicapper.You need more distance,You need
in the fairway, you need to find the ball.
Woods to the left,O B to the right, narrow
faiway.you better play a straight ball On 2002-08-14, highendman rated this Pinnacle Gold Distance a 3...(400)
Purchase: Dick's Sporting Goods $12.99/15. I wanted a distance ball. The price was right. Pros: It's a hard ball that offers good distance and game improvement -- reducing side spin. In this respect it performs similarly to the old Pinnacle Gold. Cons: Compared to the old Pinnacle Gold this ball is harder and less friendly. It will not hold the green as well. The Wilson Straight Distance is also friendlier to play with and offers even more game improvement via flying straighter. Though the price was right, I prefer the other 2 balls to this one. Quality: 2 Piece distance ball. Review Summary: Though a decent value at less than a dollar a ball, I prefer other distance balls such as the Maxfli XS, Pinnacle Gold (old), Wilson Straight Distance and Callaway CB1-Red (different price point!). This is a hard ball that does what is says it does.
