On 2003-08-17, McDuff rated this Pinnacle Power Core Soft Feel Ball a 5...(2104)

Purchase: I had been in the annual new ball search half the summer and was getting frustrated. It seems that every season the ball I had been using was discontinued or replaced, leaving me to try ball after ball to find my "new one". I read a good review online comparing different balls and was surprised that a value ball got such a good review. I had always thought of Pinnacles as just cheap balls. I went out and bought a box of 15 for about $15.00, a bargain, took them out to the course and was very surprised by the feel, distance, and spin off the irons with this ball. It has become my regular ball. I have tried the Noodle, SoLo, Laddie, LoCo, Nike Super Soft, and had been using the TopFlite 3000 Super Feel (discountinued). The Pinnacle just seems better across the board than the rest.
Pros: This ball has better feel than the competitors (feels softer), gives good distance off the driver, great distance, spin, and trajectory off the irons. The cover holds up very well. At 15 for $15.00, the price is a great bargain. I get good feel with putting with this ball and three putts are nearly a thing of the past.
Cons: Nothing not to like.
Quality: These hold up very well. Not easily scuffed or shredded by irons. As usual, cart paths are any balls enemy. If one is cut by a club in the normal play of the ball they offer 3 free replacements for each cut ball. These are made by Acushnet, the makers of Titleist.

Review Summary: I really have a lot of confidence using this ball and my only hope is that it will not be discontinued, leaving me back at square one looking for another ball. This is a lot better ball than the price would indicate!
