Details: Bright white, numbers 00-44.
Purchase: I purchased a dozen of these for $22.99 at Target. (recently bought another dozen on sale also at Target for $19.99) I bought it because of better play of late and having tried everything, wanted a good performing ball with some genuine feel. Pros: Nearly everything. It looks good, the distance is as good as everything but the longest rock, distance balls. It responds great to good strikes, and only loses a little if you don't hit it on the screws. If you make good contact you will love the results. With a short iron or wedge in your hand it is a dream!...a real pin-hunter. It is as soft and workable as any ball out there. It is great off the putter and rolls very true. The urethane cover is awesome, and the feel is second-to-none. It is a real pleasure to hit. Cons: No complaints. Could be a little longer, but not at the expense of feel. It feels great and I would hate for that to change. Quality: It's a 3-piece tour ball with a urethane cover! Very well-made, bright white, cool font, a good ball! Review Summary: It's a real shame they're being discontinued. I was thrilled to find them for the price. It's like a Pro-V1 for 1/2 price. It's equally long, soft and workable. The harder you hit it, the better. It responds to any strike. I think anyone with a handicap below 15 would love them...especially when you account for the price. If you are a high handicapper, slicer, or you struggle for distance, go with a less spin-friendly ball which will give you more distance, particularly on mishits/slices. If you can find the U-Tri Tour on the shelves, grab them all! They're worth $35/doz. easily, and at 20, are a steal.
This is a legit 5! Great ball.

Purchase: Bought a dozen at a local sporting goods store for 24.95. I wanted to see if they lived up to what Golf Digest calls the poor man's Pro V1. Read on and see if they did. Pros: I've tried many balls from Titleist, Nike, Callaway and on and on. The Precept U-Tri Tour is among the best I have used. The distance is out there, way out there, and they have the perfect amount of spin. I found them easy to control from tee to green. I'm not a great golfer by any streach of the imagination, but this ball makes me look like I'm in top form. For my game they are the prefect ball. Cons: Nothing as of yet. Quality: I recently let a friend play one. He was having trouble with distance and was willing to try anything. His first shot caught the cart path and bounced another forty yards out into the fairway. He was worried that he had scuffed the ball, but it was still like new when we checked it before his next shot. I bought a dozen and have played three rounds on one sleeve without any scuffing or tearing. The U-Tri Tour is a well made ball. Review Summary: Precept has hit a homerun with the U-Tri Tour. All you have to do is swing for the fence. On 2004-12-17, Nick rated this Precept U-Tri Tour a 3...(4862)
Purchase: $27 Pros: Good feel and touch around the greens. Cons: This ball doesn't spin. I have a moderate swing speed 108-110 but not much spin in the longer clubs. So this ball would fall short. Callaway HX tour and Maxfli revolution tour seem to hold their flight much better. Quality: Good construction and quality. It does what it claims with regards to spin. Review Summary: Know your spin characterists with this ball or it will fall short. On 2004-07-31, Rob rated this Precept U-Tri Tour a 5...(3966)
Purchase: Bought it for $29 dollars at golf shop.I am Testing high performance golf balls trying to find a preference. Have recently tried these, Pro V1, HX Tour, HX Red and now I am just starting to try out the Apex Tour's. Pros: Buttery soft feel off any club. Spins great on greens, Drop stop and suck it back performance on any club up to 6 or 7 iron! Better distance than th V1's by far however a little shorter than the HX Tour but not the HX Red. Cons: Surfaces is pretty durable however it does scuff up but never cuts. Quality: Great Quality. no problems. Review Summary: Performs better then V1's, HX tour and Red,. Plus is about $10 bucks cheaper. This will be my ball if I don't like the Apex tour more than it. BOTTOM LINE- If you want the best ball buy this. Purchase: I won some gift certificates in a golf tourney for Nevada Bob's. Paid $29.99/dz. Had read other good reviews of this ball and wanted to try it for myself. I also purchased Callaway's HX-Tour at the same time which is incredible. Pros: The cover is really soft and has a great feel off every club in the bag. Very good distance with a mid trajectory helps keep it under the wind. Not as long as the HX-Tour, more of a control ball, but still very respectable distance. Spin into greens is very good. Not as much as ProV's, but for those looking to control approach spin, this may be a good choice. Cons: Nothing really. Quality: Top notch. Very durable cover. Review Summary: This is a great ball. Offers the distance, spin, and control needed to go after low scores. The price is easier to handle than other top balls. If I cannot justify spending $39.99 on a box of HX-Tours, this would be my next choice. On 2004-02-20, Joe Pro rated this Precept U-Tri Tour a 5...(2876)
Purchase: The Precept rep came in one day and said he had a new ball. He knew that I had been play the Pro V for the last two years and asked me if I would give the U-tri tour a test run for a couple of months. So he left me 3 dzn balls and I told him to give me a call in a few weeks. I called him back within the week! I could not believe how good the Tour was. It was just as far as either Pro V, and spun way less, which is perfect for my game. The only real problem I had with the Pro V was that it spun too much, even the Pro Vx spun a little too much. The Tour is just an amazing golf ball, so much so that I have switched to it. If you know what you want from a ball, I will bet you money this ball won't let you down. I haven't told Titleist yet, and they keep sending me a few dzn, with my name on them, every other month! So I just give them to my friends, who are still stuck on the prestige of playing the Pro V. Pros: On the rare occasion that I have to buy them, they are so inexpensive! They play every bit as good as the Pro V, and I can control the spin on the Tour much better. This ball is simply the best ball on the market for any handicap level. Cons: Absolutely nothing, except that more people don't play it. Quality: Precept has always had great quality, and this is no exception. Review Summary: This ball is almost half the price of a Pro V, and you get a better ball. What else can you say about it? Purchase: I was surfing the net looking for deals on Pro V1s and found a review on the Precept U-Tri Tour. I was interested and when I played my next round at my club I purchased a sleeve. I paid $7.75 for them. They are now up to $8.00 a sleeve. Pros: From the very first drive I was impressed. I have been using Pro V1 for over a year now and my first drive with the U-Tri Tour was as good, if not better than my experience with the Pro V1. My iron shots were equally as rewarding. I really liked the similarity between the feel of the Pro V1 and the U-Tri tour. I could barely tell the difference. If there was any difference, it would be that the U-Tri tour does not back-up on the green as much as the Pro V1. Actually, that is not a disadvantage because I thought the Pro V1 backed up too much on the greens anyway. This ball does stick on the greens and does back up, just not as much as the Pro V1. True rolls on the green. A really great feeling ball from Tee to cup. Cons: I really could not find anything that I disliked about this ball. I guess the only dislike is they are too new and you can't find them on Ebay yet. Quality: The quality of this ball is great. I have played at least three rounds with one ball (got lucky). I am a 10 handicapper and this is a very durable ball. It will scuff on the cart paths; however, it holds up extremely well under all other conditions. Review Summary: A great ball, equal to the Pro V1 in all phases of the game, a great price. Truly a ball to be appreciated by all types of golfers. True in flight, roll and price. Can't lose. Purchase: $30 a dozen at Navy Marine Golf Course in Honolulu, HI. Pros: I've been trying to find a ball to play consistently for a few months now. I've tried the Nike ONE, Wilson Staff Tour Elite, Titleist DT Solo and a number of lesser named golf balls. I was turned on to this ball by the local pro. I gave it a try and I am impressed. First off, it's long off the tee. You get great spin from you mid irons, and this ball is impressive on the greens. And added bonus is the fact that it's VERY durable. I've used the same ball for 3 + rounds now and there's not a scuff on it. And of course my favorite part is the price. This is a great golf ball. It's versatile, and is very durable. Cons: Nothing to dislike. Quality: Very durable. A high quality golf ball at a reasonable price. Review Summary: The Precept U-Tri Tour is a great golf ball. It's reasonably priced and will help any golfers game. On 2003-08-22, Dan M. rated this Precept U-Tri Tour a 5...(2145)
Purchase: In search of a high performance ball more reasonably priced than the Titleist Pro-V, I purchased a box of the new Precept U-Tri Tour balls for $29.95 at Golf Galaxy. I've tried the Nike TA2, Maxfli M3 and Callaway HX-2 Blue and I will now be a loyal Precept player. Pros: This ball has a soft feel for greenside touch, checking chips and wedge shots yet provides excellent distance and is unbelievably durable for the soft feel. The Pro-V may feel just a tad softer and spins more, but I prefer the U-Tri Tour because it does not spin back excessively. It bites and holds. The U-Tri is more durable than the Pro-V as well and resists cutting and abrasions. Cons: I can't find anything negative about this ball, it gives me everything I need...distance, feel and shot stopping ability with durability to last longer than a single round if you keep it off cart paths and out of trees. Quality: Excellent quality, including the Seamless Cover Technology (SCT) unique to Precept. Review Summary: As an 8 handicapper who finally feels differences in golf balls, this is the best ball on the market for the price. Any level of golfer can play it, but lower handicap players will love it.
