On 2002-03-25, Jesper Milos rated this Pure Spin Diamond Face Driving/Utility Irons a 4...(23)

Purchase: Paid about $140 at the golf warehouse. I needed something in my bag that could be used for longer par 3 situations as well as for mid-range approach shots where I need some zip on the ball, but need to keep it up. I have a hard time hitting woods off the fairway. I went for the 21 degree model.
Pros: Very solid feel. Also, the fact that I rely on this club in a variety of situations is what I really like. It's easy to get hooked on a club like this when you should be working your swing through your whole bag, but it's really pulled me out of some sticky situations and I go to it whenever possible. PureSpin says they use some type of hybrid diamond and titanium structure for the face of the club which aids in hitting the long ball without overpowering the swing. They're not kidding.
Cons: I haven't found a thing I don't like about this club yet.
Quality: Very high quality. Construction is high quality diamond titanium face, tungsten sole, kevlar shaft and nice velvet grip.

Review Summary: For $140 I can't beat it. It's not really a rescue club but has rescued me in more than a few situations. Very well built with high quality components. About the only thing I don't like about it is that it's making me lazy. I should really learn to hit my woods off the fairway better but for certain par 3's and long fairway approaches I can't beat it.
