On 2003-07-18, Jesse Bernal rated this R.G. Enterprise 123 Swing a 5...(1811)

Purchase: I saw an ad in Golf Today Magazine and went to their website at www.123swing.com I paid 39.99 and $6.00 shipping and handling.
Pros: It's light, easy to use, not big and bulky so you can use it at the driving range and most people don't even know your using a training device, very discreet. The other thing I like about it is that it works! When I start out at the driving range my slice is pretty predominant, but then after I put on the 123swing, I take a few swings and it pulls back on my slice and I'm hitting straight. It has elastic which restrains the swing somewhat but then after about 6 or seven swings with it, I take it off and you ought to see the ball go! I think it was the farthest I hit and straight the entire distance. I was really surprised to see how far I hit after I took of the 123swing. It really does build your muscles and give you more control.
Cons: Well, It's not something you can wear for tournament play. You could use it warming up I guess but not during a tournament. And of course sometimes I could use a little help during a tournament!
Quality: This is actually one of the neat features about it. It has all quality materials. I was worried about the glove wearing out so I asked if you can get just the glove replaced which you can. But the glove is reinforced with a thicker second layer of leather in the palm and around the wrist so I haven't had to order a new glove yet and it doesn't look like I'll have to for a while! The elastic is all sturdy material also, I can't imagine that anything could go wrong with that. And heavy duty buckles that aren't going to break unless maybe you run over it with the car.

Review Summary: I have to tell you I have spent hundreds and if you talk to my wife, thousands on different training products over the years just to be dissapointed in one after the other. I pretty much have stopped buying them and just play as much as I can, which seems to be the most effective! However at 39.95 I thought, its worth a try. I could not be happier that I purchased this swing training product. In addition they sell the reinforce gloves seperate also which I just put an order in for. Mine always get a whole in the palm from leaning on the club, but not these! All reinforced! This R.G. Enterprise really has some quality stuff at good prices.
