Details: 10.5 Loft, No flex indicated on shaft
Purchase: $40 at WalMart Pros: It was cheap, that's about the only 'pro'. Cons: It feels like you are hitting rocks with this thing! First of all, even though it says 'Titanium' on the clubhead - it is NOT a 100% titanium driver like they would lead you to believe. It is called '6061 Titanium' which is an alloy, or a combination of two metals, in this case it is mixed with 50% aluminum. That is why it has a 'dead' feel when you hit it, because the 6061 is not as strong as pure titanium and therefore they can't make the face paper-thin like they can on a 100% titanium driver. This is also why it doesn't go as far, because the face doesn't flex at all on impact because it is so thick. Quality: Poor. This is not a Titanium driver, they are misleading you when they put that on the bottom of the club. Although in their credit they do put '6061 Titanium', but most people don't know that means it's a titanium-alloy which is dilluted with 50% aluminum. Review Summary: Bottom line: Dead feel, short distance, not really 100% titanium, horrible club (even for $40). If you are on a budget, go spend $80-$100 and get a clone of a name-brand club - at least those are real titanium. Check out www.CustomGolfCenter.com - I got a Taylor Made R7 CGB Max clone from there with an Alpha Pro Tour shaft for just $89, and it hits just like the real $400 Taylor Made!!

Details: color maroon, balistik low torque 100% filament wound graphite shaft, 10 forged titanium driver
Purchase: A friend gave it to me after he got a new one. My driver has a few scuffs and small dent on the bottom which doesn't affect the surface hitting area at all. Pros: I like the weight and the size of the club head. It simply has a huge club head 460cc is the largest it can get. Also, it seems hard to hit anything but stright. I duffed it off the tee the first 10 hits but once I got the right swing it was right down the center drive after drive 220+. Cons: I would like the ball to 'ping' a little more off the head. It is hard to describe but I want to say this club seems soft off the face. However, this softness seems to make the ball go stright every time. So sacrifice a little distance for a lot of accuracy. Best case would be a both accuracy and distance. but 2nd best case is a lot of accuracy and a good amount of distance which is what this club seems to give me. Quality: head seems prone to dents and dings, but it wasn't taken care of all that well. shaft is in perfect condition so I feel the shaft is of good quality construction. Grip seems a little worn, but still very playable. Review Summary: Great driver for 40 dollars or less. Seemed very accurate to me. Purchase: I got this product at Shopko (kinda like Target) of all places. $29.99 dollars. Pros: It is built for average golfer: Regular flex shaft, Decent wrap style grip, big forgiving face, and a very nice weight (not to light and not to heavy). About the right length shaft too. Maybe a tad shorter then your average driver but I like it that way. Cons: Not much its price to performance is through the roof, unbelievable really. My bro has the R540 from Taylor Made. The forgiveness of this club is the same as the R540 but not quite as snappy off the face, but pretty close, and for about a tenth the price. Quality: Construction seems fine has not broke yet. No rattles or anything. Made in China. Review Summary: Bottom Line: Dont waste your money on a Taylor Made, Cleveland, Ping, Titleist, or any other big name driver. They may be slightly hotter off of the face but for the average golfer you are not going to see it. What you will see is the forgiveness of this club. Purchase: Targets - $39.99 w/headcover Pros: The size and feel of the club. Gives me more confidence at address. I was surprised to see the 460cc as I thought they only made the 420cc. I could not find anything on the internet about this club. For the price how could one go wrong. It's long and straigt off the tee. I can draw my shots more often at will. I am a 10 handicap and expect this to take get down to an 8 with this club. A 20% improvement isn't a bad goal. Cons: I don't like the grip. It's very similar to a Winn Grip but wears extremely fast. Easy enough to replace so it doesn't affect the overall rating. Quality: Contruction appears to be as good as any other top notch club. The shaft I am sure isn't of the same as a the $300+ drivers but who cares when I hit either club the same distance except this driver stays on line. Review Summary: This driver is simply amazing. If you can find one. GET IT. For $39.99 it's worth every penny to try. If you don't like it. They will sell easily on ebay. In fact my intent is to purchase another one and may try to use a different shaft on it, just to experiment with it. I have a few shafts in the basement for Callaway drivers and LOCO divers.
