Purchase: Puchased them off their website for $15.00 for three packs of 5.
Pros: What I like about them is that I'm hitting more long drives than I ever have in the past with wooden tees. Recent tests have shown that you can gain 25 yards off the tee with them. They add 5/8 of an inch to the length of all your wooden tees that are too short for your modern 400CC plus size driver.
Cons: Two things; First if you contact the RipTip tee with your driver's club head when you hit the ball, you will have to go find the tee, it's 15 to 20 yards down range somewhere. At $1.20 each, you want to go find it. Second, they start to lose some of the bristles after a few rounds. They need to use better epoxy to hold the bristles in the plastic cap. If you get 3 rounds out of one, you did good. And that's with only useing them for my driver and woods, not the irons on the par 3's.
Quality: They look real nice, but they wear out too fast.

Review Summary: They do work, you will gain some distance off the tee. But they wear out too fact and are hard to find after you tee off. Tie a piece of string and a small piece of white cloth to it, and you won't lose them. I'd give them a 5 for proformance, and a 3 for quality. If you want to start using long tees and have a bunch of short one on hand, don't we all, they are a good way to make use of all those short tees laying around. Are you willing to pay 50 cents a round to gain 10 to 25 yards off the tee? I am.

Purchase: Purchased them off their website. Cost was about $5.00 for a package of 5 Rip Tips. The item looked like a good way to use regular size tees that I already have to tee up the ball higher for my driver. The Rip Tips are supposed to reduce friction between the ball and tee, to allow you to hit the ball further and straighter.Shipping was $2.00 per order, I got 3 packages while I was at it.
Pros: What I like about the Rip Tips tees is that you can attach the Rip Tip to the top of any wooden tee you have and turn a standard tee into a long tee for hitting your oversize driver. All wooden tees will be 5/8" longer with the Rip Tip installed. We all have hundreds of standard tees, and this lets you use them and you don't have to buy longer tees any more. The bristles are designed to flex when the ball is hit and compresses. This is supposed to reduce friction between the ball and the tee, to add a few more yards to your drive. Seems to do it's job as far as I can tell. Hit some of my best tee shot using it.
Cons: There are two things you might not like about the Rip Tips. First, the tip is 1-1/4" tall, so the minumium height you can tee the ball with these tees is 1-1/4". That fine for a wood, but way too high for an iron. The other thing you will not like is that when you hit your driver using this tee, it will fly up to 15 yards down range. The Rip Tip is heavy enough that the whole tee goes so far down range that it's hard to find the tee. And at a dollar each, you don't want to not go find it. With a 3 wood that shouldn't be a problem unless you really hit the ball fat.
Quality: Basically the Rip Tip is a piece of plastic with 3 sets of bristles sticking out the top for the ball to sit on. It attaches to the top of any wooden tee. They come in three color, but this isn't mentioned on the site. I've only use one for one round, but it seems to be holding up fine, and I have no reason to think it will not last for a long time, if I can find it after it flys down range.

Review Summary: I think that if you use them with your woods, you will be quite happy. If you use it for your driver, you will be searching for it after each tee shot. What ever you do, don't use one when you have water right in front of the tee box, you'll lose it every time. If you like to tee the ball up high, this is a great way to use the wooden tees you already have. And any extra yards you might get by using it, is a bonus. I'm going to try attaching a piece of bright colored knitting yarn to the tee, so I can find it easier, this might solve the problem of finding it. My recommendation; Buy a package of 5 and share them with your playing partner, I feel its worth a try. Or keep them to yourself and enjoy a few more yards off the tee and say to your partner, "YOUR AWAY AGAIN".
