On 2009-05-27, DON rated this Roxor Golf Sunglasses a 5...(8383)

Details: I tested the model 5673 golf sunglasses. Purple lenses, with black frame. Wrap around styling.

Purchase: I came accross the ROXOR sales rep at this years Denver Golf Expo. The rep, Craig DeVere, offered to let me test a pair for GolfGearReview.com Contact Craigdevere@roxoreyewear.com. or call 303-827-5156 or go to the ROXOR site; www.roxoreyewear.com
Pros: This is a first rate pair of sunglassed designed for playing Golf. The purple lense is designed to cut down on the amount of green your eyes see, and make what you see more like it really is. The results for my eyes is I can see more contrast on the course, making it easier to see the contour of the course, expecially on the green. When I first put them on, it was interesting how I could see things in the grass that I hadn'e noticed before. Single blades of grass stood out all of a sudden. What was just green grass was now grass with texture to it.
Cons: The only complaint I have is the course looks less green with these glasses. If the course is a little brown due to lack of water, it really looks brown with these glasses on.
Quality: Quality seem to the excellent. All ROXOR lenses meet or exceed ANSI standards.

Review Summary: This is a great pair of sunglasses designed for playing golf. They make it easier to see contrast in the surface of the course. As some of you may know, I don't have very good eyesight, and I have trouble seeing where my golf ball lands on every shot. But since I've been wearing these ROXOR glasses, I've notice I'm able to see my golf ball a lot better out on the course. With normal sunglasses, I have a hard time see a golf ball on the green much past 50 yards out. With the Roxor glasses on, I'm seeing the ball much better, and have even seen my ball on the green from the tee box a few times on par 3 holes. Couldn't do that before. They come in 6 designs so you should be able to find at least one to suit your tastes. You will find it takes a few minutes to get used to the color of the lense at first. Purple isn't your normal color for a pair of sunglasses. Give these glasses 10 minutes to get used to them, and I think you'll be quite pleased with what you SEE.
