Purchase: Purchased online from Diamond Tour Golf - and I can't say enough good things about them
Pros: The Solitaire is an easy fairway wood to hit, even for me, and I have never considered myself a good fairway wood hitter. Well that's a thing of the past. The Solitaire hits a very powerful trajectory, maybe a bit low for some, but gets plenty of distance and checks up very well. My usual shot is a draw and I had no trouble with this getting out of control using the Solitaire. Had this made with the new Harrison Impluse Fairway which is a great shaft and a great match for this head. With 14 degrees of loft it's playable from fiarway and also from the tee on tight driving holes. Fairly compact and low profile, so might not appeal to players who prefer oversize woods. Once you see the reaction of the turf though, I think you'll agree that it's definately a design that gets results.
Cons:
Quality: Quality, in keeping with everything SMT makes is top drawer. Lovely looker as well.

Review Summary: The Solitaire has made me a better fairway wood player - period. Given that the shaft options on this are every single shaft made on the planet, it makes putting together an effective combination a breeze. Do a bit of homework on the shaft and start hitting them where you want.
