Purchase: I purchased my putter new on E-bay. I paid $180 on the bid plus $10 shipping, thus saving about $100 .
Pros: I love the way the club sets up to the ball. The rails on the mid-section provide a nice alignment. The best is the way the ball feels coming off the face. The ball seems to roll very nicely off the face. It is without a doubt the most forgiving putter I have ever owned, and it has helped my consistancy with distance control.
Cons: While I feel the swing weight is ideal for fast greens it feels a little light for slower greens such as overseeded bermuda greens. I purchased one of the aftermarket weights for it and that helped immediately. The best part about the aftermarket weight is that it has a line on top which aids even further in alignment. When our greens get faster I simply take the weight out.
Quality: The construction and quality is of course first class as you would expect for an expensive putter such as this. It comes with an extreemly padded headcover which can be annoying due to it's large size, but it does a good job of protecting the putter.

Review Summary: This is without a doubt the best feeling putter I have ever used, and I have tried many of them. My consistancy in putting has gone way up allowing my number of putts per round to drop considerably. Everyone makes fun of the putter at first due to it's strange appearance, but they aren't laughing any more after I start making putts left and right.

Purchase: I played the Futura as a demo in several rounds at my club.
Pros: The futura has several outstanding qualities. First, it provides excellent eye alignment. If you have putted with a blade, you will notice a much higher percentage of your putts from 10 ft. or more are dead-on-line. Second, the Futura's entire face is pure sweet-spot. It always feels good. Third, it is perfectly balanced in your hands. It feels like it wants to swing itself.
Cons: The main drawback I experienced with the Futura was my sense that it was somewhat less useful from the fringe than a traditional putter. This may have been simply my perception due to the depth of the club or its trailing curved piece that is concave toward the target; or these elements may actually create more drag as its passes through taller grass. Second, as is no doubt obvious, if you are a traditionalist, you will find this club's appearance very hard to accept.
Quality: This club is absolutely 100% solid in feel and though unconventional looking, is beautifully finished.

Review Summary: If you can get past the non-traditional look this is a great putter. I tend to be somewhat of a traditionalist, but after making several long putts with this, the look very definitely grew on me to where it was absolutely beautiful.

Purchase: Ebay $250.00
Pros: Uniquely different shape. Feel, touch, and balance on this putter is truly incredible. I own several other scotty putters, bettinardi, ping, odyssey and the futura blows them all away.
Cons: Just being picky but the red colored grip.
Quality: Scotty Cameron totally professional and first rate.

Review Summary: I've been searching for a putter for 2 years and this one stays in the bag!

Purchase: I purchased the futura putter at Chuck Browns Golf in Ottawa, Canada for $400.00. I had been interested in seeing and trying this putter for approximately 8 months after watching numerous pros using it, namely Phil Mickelson. After taking several putts inside the store I decided it was going to be mine even though I initially went to purchase an Odyssey two ball putter.
Pros: The flowing lines of the putter set up correctly for my stance. I found that I didn't have to adjust the ball position or my feet at all. The bend in the shaft set the putter head in a perfect position for my putting stroke. The extension of the putter ( potatoe masher) is extremely helpful in lining the putter up to hit the ball on the intended line. The balanced face of the club helps to illiminate twisting on off center hits. I originally thought that the putter might be too light for long putts and since I am a high handicap player many of my putts will be made from long distances. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the ball comes off the putter face with as much or as little speed as you want. Lag putts are simple to make.
Cons: I originally didn't like the bright red grip and since I am an amatuer club builder decided upon leaving the golf shop that I could easily change the grip. After owning the putter for a couple days, I decided that I preferred the putter just as it was. I do find the putter cover obtrusive and a bit gaudy. My golf bag has a separate putter scabbard and thus the putter is in plain view of someone who might like to have one of these units but is not willing to pay the price. The sound of the ball coming off the face of the putter was a turn off at the beginning but that too has become a pleasant sound, especially when you see the ball heading for the hole.
Quality: The putter is well designed, manufactured and assembled. After a very short time of owning the putter,it has gone from a cumbersome looking tool to looking like a "work of art".

Review Summary: I have owned many putters. I do use home built irons and metal woods but there is nothing around, I believe that can compare to this putter. A person always wants to keep their scores low when golfing but there was the odd time that I was dissapointed when I wouldn't get to make at least one more putt on the hole. I find the putter such a pleasure to use it gives me confidence that each time I get on the green that I will take only one or two putts to sink the ball. This putter straight from the store is ready to go. I doubt that even Scotty Cameron could fit me with a better putter.
