On 2005-09-06, Race1530 rated this Snake Eyes 600 B (Blades) a 5...(6163)

Purchase: After demo-ing the Snake Eyes 600 B's at Golfsmith, I bought 3-SW. Bundle of 3-pw was $199.00 / True Temper Gold Stiff shafts $10.00 apiece / Winn Excel RF Jumbo Grips / Bought the matching sand wedge $38.50 / with assembly the bill came to $584.00 I was looking to go back to blades after a couple of years with cavity backs and tried all the manufacturers you've seen. Fell in love with the feel of the Snake Eyes brand and can't complain about the lower cost.
Pros: Feel, feel, feel. These clubs let you know exactly how you've struck the ball. I would rather hit an iron than a wood, so I don't have a problem with the longer irons. They fly true and straight and when struck on the screws you don't even feel the ball. Easier to shape the ball than my old cavity backs and although I've heard differently, I've only picked up a few yards in distance (3-5)
Cons: I don't like the sandwedge and have replaced it with my old cleveland after losing distance and feel with the Snake Eyes S.W. The only thing I've had to adjust for with the rest of the irons is the smaller sole. I'm an aggressive swinger who goes for maximum back spin on my approaches, with the thinner sole, this club digs in quickly and I have found myself taking some pretty hefty divots :) But I'm making adjustments and the clubs feel great.
Quality: Construction has been good as far as I can tell, although I've only had them three weeks.

Review Summary: Don't be afraid to by and use blades! Great feel and the ability to work the ball is a plus. No hand rattling vibrations with off center hits on these clubs. Love em.
