Purchase: Sold my 600C irons to a friend that just had to have them after demoing mine. Paid $30.00 each for the heads at Golfsmith I wanted to try an even easier set of irons than the 600C's I sold, so I got the long irons this time in the 600XC's, and the short irons in 600C's.
Pros: Long irons are usually harder to hit well and get the ball up into the air. With the 600XC's, it's not that hard. I wanted more foregiving long irons and I got it. Still have the ability to work the ball, which is why I went with the 600 series irons in the first place, just a little more foregiving. Nice soft solid feel with a well strock hit.
Cons: Being a forged club, you have to be carefull of how you treat them. Headcovers are a must to protect the soft metal heads, they dent and ding up easier than cast stainless clubs.
Quality: Beautiful forged, chrome plated heads. First rate quality all the way.

Review Summary: The 600C irons are real close to being an exact copy of the Mizuno MP30's that it's not funny. The MP30's got great reviews in the 2003 Golf Magazine club test issue, so I wanted to get them, except for the price. So I demoed the MP30's and the 600C's, couldn't tell them apart, so I built the first set of 600C's. When I sold the 600C's, I built a new set but with the 600XC's in the longer irons. I couldn't be happier with the set. The long irons are a little more foregiving and I can still work the ball. That's exactly what I was looking for in a new set of irons. If you like the MP30's, try the 600 series irons, you will be impressed.
