Purchase: I acquired this 3W through a second hand retail store called SECOND Swing for $139. I was looking for a fairway wood that would travel far 220yds+ and straight. The touted trajectory of the SS01 (low and penertrating) from their website was also what I was looking to acquire.
Pros: The best attribute is the classic LOOK of these very handsome clean looking clubs. Especially at set-up. The low profile and large effective hitting area inspires confidence. I also like the hot face and distance you get from these clubs.
Cons: After several rounds I just did not like the flight path- (nice way to say I usually SLICED it), that I was getting. Even when I made relatively easy and smooth swings the ball went far but predominatley left to right. I even over compensated my set up to encourage a draw, but the ball still came off hot with a lot of slice spin. I normally use a CALLAWAY SIII fairway wood which are draw biased and the ball goes straight or draws. I also have the SONARTEC SS02 5W and that seems to be better for me. I found out that the company made the SS01 and SS03 first and the SS02 was developed a year later. Makes sense as the PRO's used them for years before the general public demanded them in retail stores.
Quality: I really like SONARTECs Sleek black finish on the head, it's clean yet non glaring. Feels solid and a little heavy. Can't feel the head as well as I can on other clubs. But overall a solid feel throughout the swing.

Review Summary: Great club for better players. Not recommended for Higher handicaps 14+
