Purchase: Purchase in Jan 2002, TGW, 299,- setprice
Pros: After searching for a decent economy set of irens, I decided to purchase the XL 2000 early 2003. After a year of play, I found that these irons are very forgiving and very long. On misshits (heel or toe) you can see the ball wnats to curve but somehow ballflight is kept almost straight. Length is outstanding. I took a few clubs (6 - SW) with me on vacation and experienced that my 6 irons drives were only 20 to 39 yards short of the others using drivers and 3 woods. Line up is intuitive. PW is hot and you need to be carefull not to go too long. I got na extr PW and SW with stellshaft to do for the 80 and below distances.
Cons: The 5 iron is inconsistent. $ iron and 6 iron are sure hits, 5 iron sems to be odd.
Quality: Great look and feel, finish is good, grips are cheap.
