Purchase: I work at a golf course in Wisconsin and was given a sleeve of them. After I used them I went back and bought more. I have not used a different ball since I started to use this ball.
Pros: This ball gave me greater distance off tee and I was able to hit the ball straighter. Before I started using this ball I was shooting mid 40's and now i am shooting low 40's to high 30's. This is a great ball for all types of golfers.
Cons: I have no dislikes for this golf ball. It is the best ball I have ever used.
Quality: It is a wound ball and is very soft to use. It is a wonderful golf ball.

Review Summary: This ball is a 5 because it is the best ball I have ever played with. As an average golfer that was constantly getting beat by other average golfers I was willing to try anything to improve my scores. This was the best solution I had and it improved my scores by 4-5 strokes. It has also improved my drives making them longer and farther. I am now beating the average golfers and playing the best golf I have ever played. I am very happy with this golf ball and I will be playing with this ball for a very long time.

Purchase: I'm a teaching professional living in Japan. I first used the Srixon ball in July, 2002 when playing in Thailand. The ball was recommended by a friend who is also a teaching pro. The balls were given to me, but I know the balls go for about $44 a dozen here in Japan.
Pros: The courses in Asia are usually hilly and the greens are usually in quite good condition. I found the Srixon ball to be consistently straight and long off the tee, and had exceptional feel and playability. The ball is soft to putt with, which gives you that sensitive feedback needed on putts. I could work the ball easily as well. Even long iron shots held the greens, and spinning the ball with shorter irons was no problem. I feel this ball is even better than the Pro V1, which is also my preferred choice of balls. I mainly felt it was superior to the Pro V1 due to its durability. The Srixon lasts longer than the Pro V1, and for the average teching pro and avid golfer that means considerable savings.
Cons: The only thing I have negative to say about this ball, is it tends to fade in color easier than the Pro V1. It looses its bright whiteness a little faster.
Quality: The ball is soft, as you would expect from a wound ball. Its a great ball.

Review Summary: Overall, this ball is a five out of five rating. As a teaching pro, I'm very picky about golf equipment and marketing hype, but this ball is an excellent performer.
