On 2004-08-20, mr. divots rated this Strata Tour Ultimate 2 a 5...(4094)

Purchase: I found one of these in pristine condition while out playing.
Pros: Very soft cover. Soft feel off the irons. Good spin on pitch shots.
Cons: Too bad Strata doesn't make these anymore, I like them better than the Tour Ace.
Quality: Hasn't scuffed very much even after 18 holes and plenty of full wedge shots. Seems to putt true also. Soft cover gives a feeling of control with all clubs.

Review Summary: Strata had a winner with these. New & Improved isn't always the case as it is with the Tour Ace. The Tour Ultimate 2 had way more feel to it!

Purchase: I was bored one day so I went to Golf Depot to play with putters. I noticed that the Strata Tour Ultimates were on sale. I came back two days later, and all the Tour Ultimates were sold out! I talked to the owner of the store and he said he would order some in. He called the distributer, and instead, the Tour Ultimate 2s were on sale from CDN$50 to $30. I bought one box immediately after he got off the phone. He decided to order another 24 boxes.
Pros: The ball is excellent. It has a nice soft feel to it. Chips feel controlled. Strata claims that the ball putts true; not that I'm a mechanical putter, but it seemed to sink in the hole when i had a solid putt. Off the driver, the ball has a nice penetrating trajectory. My first round with the ball, I was comparing it with a Titleist DT ball I had, and I felt the Strata hit much further. I also like aesthetically pleasing things. The Strata logo and colors are pleasing to the eye and are not as boring as other balls.
Cons: I must say, the ball appears to scuff a little more easily. Maybe the soft cover foregoes the durability a little.
Quality: I looked, but I didn't find and cracks or cancerous bumps on my balls. Quality appears to be good.

Review Summary: The bottom line is that the Strata Tour Ultimate 2 is a great buy. A great performing ball with a nice feel to it. It is worth a box of these at full price. With a discount, it is worth buying two boxes.

Purchase: I am a fan of the Tour Ultimate 1 so when version 2 arrived I just had to try it. Purchased from golf shop in Australia $A78.00 per Dozen.
Pros: This ball feels softer than Tour Ultimate 1 and certainly flies better. When hit with the driver, ball comes of club face nicely, with no loss of distance.Around the greens this ball has teeth, and also spins like crazy with mid iron shots. If you like a ball that spins, these are a must.
Cons: Cover scuff a little easier than tour ultimate 1.The price of this ball in Australia.
Quality: Excellent quality and well made ball

Review Summary: A must for any golfer who likes soft feel golf balls
