On 2005-08-26, Anonymous rated this Supernova AGT 3 Woods 12* 15* and 5 Wood 20* a 5...(6112)

Purchase: I was watching the conversation on "Bomb Squad Golf's" Golf Equiptment page. Those who have hit these Suoernovas had nothing but good things to say. The main topic was how "Hot" these clubs were and the sound at impact. My intrest was stirred so I ordered the two 3 woods @ 12 and 15 degrees. (I ordered the 5 wood a few days later.) Since my swing speed is so high It was recomended I shaft them with Penley's Stealth 80s X flex. AGT was able to get real "Tour" shafts and these Stealth 80s had Boron in the tips which is not found on their standard Stealth shafts. Since these Stealths were Exotics I paid a bit more @ $289.00 .
Pros: I wasn't sure if I'd like the 12 degree 3 wood as I was told it might be difficult off the grass. The 15 degree was more widely played. I tried them at the range first. I teed the range ball really low, took a deep breath and took a 3/4 swing. I must have caught the ball right on the "screws" because that ball was gone. I mean it was still charging forward when I lost it in the light background. I had to strain to pick it up skipping across the ground passing the distance marker where I normally hit my driver. After warming up a bit more, I hit a dozen more balls. The shaft was worth the extra few dollars. The sound coming of the face was really nice. It made a "Ting" which I found very appealing. The other 2 woods were just as good. They did everything I hoped they would. They were very long and indexed about 30 yards apart. These are World Class clubs and I would whole hardidly recoment them to anyone looking to improve their game. The trajectory was mid.
Cons:
Quality: I am very impressed with these clubs it is hard to be critical. They are vey well made and had no problem with my high swing speed.

Review Summary: You would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't try these when shopping for some game improvment clubs.
