On 2005-04-10, Jackie rated this Tactical Works Corn Starch Tees a 5...(5352)

Purchase: I purchased these tees directly from the manufacturer (www.tacticalworks.com)on Ebay (seller name krow_work). Th price was much cheaper than listed on his site, at 1.50 for a pack of 30, plus 1.50 shipping for the first pack of 15, .50 for each additional pack. I liked the idea of a tee that would degrade more quickly than wood, but that also claimed to be more durable and kinder to the groundskeepers' blades.
Pros: The units are excellent. They are cast from corn starch, sit solidly in the ground, are well-balanced and VERY regular. They have garden-variety tees beat by a mile. I was even able to set out my wiffle balls on uneven ground in a stiff breeze without having them tip off, as they did on the wooden tees I was using as a "control."
Cons: Not yet available in 2 3/8" length. But this is a minor point!
Quality: Cast from corn starch resin, they are sharp, straight and true, with a light beige color that is lighter than a natural wood tee. During driving practice, these tees do appear to be more durable than their wooded equivalants, resisting chips and breakage--even around the thin top rim.

Review Summary: As a new golfer, I need all the help I can get. Knowing that each time I set the ball it is square on the tee is important. These tees are more expensive than wooden tees, but I suspect they will more than prove their worth!
