Purchase: Purchased this driver out of the "used" bin at the local Golfer's Warehouse. $79. Can't get beat up on that deal. I'm a 12 handicap with a swingspeed of 105 MPH. Used a Callaway Steelhead Plus Driver 10.5* so I was looking for lower loft and more foregiveness. Pros: Quite foregiving. Club head is nice size. Not so big that it feels like a shoe-box on the end of a stick, but not so small that mishits are disasters. Cons: *Thud* sound when contacting ball. Rather liked the Callaway *ping* sound better. High end of distance wasn't comparable with the Callaway. That is, not as many bombs. But, not as many duds either, particularly when hit towards the heel. Shaft feels a bit soft for "firm". Swinging extra hard doesn't seem to add distance. Quality: No unreasonable episodes in my short ownership of the club. Review Summary: Hey, I paid $79 for the thing. I was in a "no lose" situation. Generally pleased with the club.

Purchase: Purchased from the Golf Warehouse for about $200 in 2002. Pros: The Taylor Made 300 ti 10.5 driver S90 is an outstanding club and extremely durable. I've been hitting with it for two seasons including some rough play over the winter and it continues to be easy to hit and surprising on distance, often rivaling 8.5s and 9.5s for distance on a good drive. This club is far easier to hit than some other popular other drivers. Cons: Nothing to speak of. Quality: I've been hitting with it for about two and one half, seasons including some rough play over the winter and the club shows very little wear and cleans up fine. Review Summary: This is an excellent club for the beginner to intermediate golfer on a reasonable golf budget. It's got to be one of the best 10.5s on the market. The S90 shaft is the way to go. Purchase: Thinking I was smarter than the pros I went online to find a driver that fit my pocket book and desire to hit 300 yard drives. I ended up finding a Taylor Made 300 driver at Play it Again sports for 110$ on sale. Catch was it was a 7 degree loft but I didn't know that as a rookie and thought it was a great buy. Pros: It has a great look. On the tee it looks as if you are a pro. This club makes a great sound when you hit it. If you swing fast and hit it just right you can hit huge drives. Launch angle seems to be low and balls bounce on the turf a good ways, not loopy and high for sure. Cons: If you hit less than 95 miles an hour expect tiny drives. If you don't make direct contact with the sweet spot or have any in to out or out to in swing be prepared to say "FOUR" alot. I had always been a big swinger up until I bought this club. I would hit big drives into other fairways or hit it out of bounds or even into lakes. I slowed it down to get balls straight but then my drives were down to 200 to 230 yards. Quality: I beat on the drive for a full season and it held up great. A little polish and some sweat and it looks just like it did when I bought it. Review Summary: Unfortunately being a high handicapper I need a more forgiving driver. I even had friends of mine try it out on the course and they seemed to get the same results as I did. Hit it great...ball go's and go's, don't and you will have a bunch of penalty strokes to deal with. I finally gave up at the end of the season broke down and went to a pro. He told me all the reasons why this was not the club for me. Next time I will swallow my pride save some strokes and seek some professional help! Purchase: I purchased this driver new on Ebay almost 3 years ago for $150 with 10.5 degree loft and Reg. flex Taylor Made graphite shaft. Pros: If you hit this club on the button it is as good as it gets. I qualify as a senior golfer now and I tip the scales at 175 lbs and I probably average 265 off the tee. I do hit the occasional 290 to 300 yd drive. Because this thing has 10.5 degrees of loft I can hit it off the turf if I need to. Cons: Trajectory is just a little too high for me, but I've played this club for quite a while because it has been very good to me. I just bought a 360XD Taylor Made 9.5 to try it and see if it's time for the 300 Ti to go. Quality: This is a high quality club that looks good at address, in the bag, and waiting your turn on the tee. Review Summary: The bottom line is that this is a long-hiting club that is easy to hit and I have always had confidence in my ability to blast it off the tee. Even when my other clubs aren't working so well, this 300 Ti has always been my friend. On 2002-11-05, Sold on Taylor Made rated this TaylorMade 300 Ti a 5...(754)
Purchase: Purchased at TGW for $189. Price was too good to pass up. Pros: The distance with this club is amazing. It's nice when your second shot on a par four is a chip onto the green. Par 5's are now well within my reach in two. Cons: I don't have any complaints, but be sure to try out all three of the 300 series drivers before you buy. The clubheads on the 320 and 360 felt too big for me. Shaft selection is also important. Also, don't expect this club to fix a slice or a hook--it will only make it worse. Quality: This club is very solid off the tee. Feels like I'm hitting the ball with a hammer. Review Summary: With the prices on this club as low as they are now, you can't pass it up. Purchase: I purchased my 300 TI driver from Bob's Golf (Formally Nevada Bob's) in Campbell. I had been testing several different drivers, including: Titleist 975, Ping TSI, Callaway, Adams and Olimar. I took the 300 TI out on a demo, played a round with it and was so impressed I bought the demo. I was able to eek out a deal for $200, which was awesome, and went home with my new Taylor Made. Pros: I had been using an old (really old) Taylor Made Burner. It had a very small head and I like that. The 300 has a small head (by today's standard) and does not feel like a pillow on a stick. The S-90 shaft keeps up with my full swing speed and has great feel. The club was easy to learn to hit good clean drives. I just like everything about this club. Cons: The price. I am seeing too many drivers out there that are getting $300 to 500 price tags on them. I was happy to pay $200 but I would not have paid $300 for this club. Quality: Construction is solid, it feels like a complete unit in your hands. Weight is well placed and over quality is quite high. Review Summary: This is a great club! If you have been looking to improve your game from the tee box this is where to start. This is not a beginners club though, you need to have the mechanics of your swing solid. Purchase: Purchased this club at Golf USA at closeout sale for 179.99. Pros: The 300 model I purchased is a 8.5* with Taylor Made tour S-90 shaft. This driver is the longest, straightest, most consistent, and solid driver I have ever hit. Cons: Could not find one thing to gripe about with this driver, and believe me I am a griper. Quality: Taylor made has put together one solid and aesthetically pleasing driver any golfer, regardless of handicap, would be proud to own. Review Summary: I not only have tried them all, I own over 20 different drivers; including, but not limited to Callaway Steelhead plus, Ping TiSi, Titleist 975 (all three models), Cobra gravity back and so on. I choose to play the Taylor Made 300, enough said. On 2002-06-01, golfdoc rated this TaylorMade 300 Ti a 4...(153)
Purchase: I ordered this driver through the Golf Warehouse for $199 + shipping. I have been looking at this driver for some time and when the price dropped, I couldn't resist buying it.
Pros: The sole "seats" itself very squarely on the turf and obviates the need for manipulating the head once grounded. The shaft is very stable and the head is really solid. Although this model is supposedly for the "better player," I can tell you that as a 7-8 handicap, I have my share of heel and toe mishits. I am totally pleased by the forgiveness of the head and relative lack of distance loss. There is just enough gear effect to bring the ball back to the fairway. Cons: A point that should be made is to make sure you order a club with at least 1 degree more loft than you usually use. The CG is higher than the other two models (320 and 360). Quality: The face of the driver is slightly brushed in appearance. The sole is highly polished and sits nicely on the turf without drag on the takeaway. The shaft is not the bubble and I suspect it is the Fujikura shaft we've all been hearing about. It is very stable and feels like it has a high flex similar to the TT EI-70.
All in all, it is a very classic looking head, conservative in appearance and quite handsome, I think.
Review Summary: At this price, the club is unbeatable. I am happy that I bought it.
