Purchase: Purchased on the auction like new off Ebay (Golfetails) for $202.50 + $10 shipping. The club appears brand new. I've played Taylor since Pittsburgh Persimmon. This driver replaced my Taylor Bubble Ti (9.5 Firm Bubble shaft) which was a very nice stick.
Pros: The 540 is longer than my old Taylor especially with center to near center hits. Nicely made club. With a nice on tempo swing the drivers are straight to a slight (nice) draw. Getting quick can give a fade to moderate slice. Let the club do the work. Seems to be quite foregiving.
Cons: Really no grips. I'll replace the grip to make it slight larger. Some folks complain about the stock grip, but it doesn't cost much to customize.
Quality: First rate construction.

Review Summary: I'm 55 and hit this club further that my persimmons I hit when I was 30. Highly recommended.
