Purchase: i wanted to upgrade from my current Taylor Made 300 driver.i picked this up from 3 balls.com for $135.00 in very good shape.
Pros: well first of all the condition was more like new than the very good shape 3 balls.com advertised.out on the course i was just amazed at the consistant distance i was getting.i start most of my drives down the right side of the fairway and try to draw the ball back in.with the TM 300 i would sometimes hook the ball on my bad tee shots but with the 540 i have had no problems in the duck hook dept.
Cons: absolutely nothing to dis-like about this driver.
Quality: first rate as with any Taylor Made driver.looks great at address,i did though replace the standard TM grip with an oversized Whisper grip from Golf pride.

Review Summary: if you don't feel like shelling out 300-400 dollars for the Taylor Made XD versions do the next best thing and scour the internet for the regular 500 series drivers.the UST Proforce 65 shaft is in my opinion one of the better higher range shafts out there.this club is very forgiving and fellas when you spank one on the sweet spot you feel like you a million dollars...this clu has been the best equiptment investment i made in a long time.
