Purchase: I purchased this club from a retailer on Ebay. With shipping I paid about $190. I had been looking at both the 580 and the new 580 XD. I had hit them both and couldn't tell much of a difference between the two models, although the 580 XD is 40 cc larger. I decided that I couldn't justify the price difference between the older model and the new one, so I bought the original 580.
Pros: Great club. Large sweet spot, fairly forgiving. It comes with a great grip that is a little tacky for good control. I usually wear a glove and haven't worn one using this driver. About 10-20 yards more off the tee than my old Taylor 360.
Cons: Regular shaft may have a little too much flex, but I am getting used to it. Had to use a little stronger grip to stop it from going to the right.
Quality: Great quality, no flaws or blemishes.

Review Summary: If you don't have $350-$400 for the new XD, then this older model is a great club.

Purchase: Puetz Golf, Seattle, WA Looking for long, forgiving club. 10.5 degree, stiff. Paid $340.00
Pros: This club is longer than many others I have tried. Just as important is that even on off hits the ball stays in play. The most forgiving for sure. As for distance, it is typically goes 15 / 20 yards farther than my old driver.
Cons: The regular flex shaft feels week. More like a senior staff.
Quality: Excellant!

Review Summary: I like this club a great deal. It has resolve the issue of getting successfully off the tee, with distance and confidence. While I am satisfied with the 10.5 degree loft give some thought to 9.5 degrees. Even if you've not used a 9.5 before you will probably be ok with a 9.5 in this driver.
