Purchase: I have tried many different drivers out on the market. Cleveland 400, New Big Bertha, Taylor Made 580xd, Titleist 975D and Taylor Made 580. They are all great Drivers with great explosion off the face, but the 580 seem to have a little more "Jump" to it. Sure the 580xd(xd-XtraDistance) has the xd behind it but both 580 and XD felt the same. The only difference is price$$. XD $100 more. Now of course there are cheaper. The one bad thing about the 580 is the lousy shaft it comes with. The MAS60 Stiff. More like regular flex. Any ex-baseball players and golfers with strong hands and wrist get a new shaft. Just put on a GraphiteDesign YS-7 msi-70 TX Flex shaft, cut to 45 inches. We'll see how it does. Have heard great things about this shaft.
Pros: Great "Jump" off the face! With the BIG head size makes you think no more off center hits. Just as explosive as the XD. And not as explosive to your wallet!
Cons: Without a doubt the stock shaft is a must go! Stiff is a Regular! It's very whippy, and loose. With as big as the head is they should've made a shaft with less torque. Although, I hear you can get the club with custom shafts stock.
Quality:

Review Summary: Great Driver with great explosion! If you have strong hands and wrist, GET A NEW SHAFT!! You'll never see the fairway until you do.
