Details: Original Bubble S-90 shaft and grip. 9.5 degree loft on the club face.
Purchase: I bought this club off of ebay when acquiring my new set. I believe I paid about $60 shipped for it. Pros: This driver has everything a high to mid handicapper could want. As long as your swing is fairly good, it is a fairly forgiving club to hit. It will hook and slice pretty badly if your swing is out of sorts, but all clubs will to an extent. This driver also has good distance as I have driven the ball 270 several times. This club also feels nice and light, but it still gives you the feeling of having and instrument of power in your hands. Cons: It could be just a bit more forgiving to mis hits, and the Bubble shaft is almost a special order when regripping the club, but that's it. Quality: Great quality. I have yet to scratch the paint on this club and the face doesn't mark up even after several trips to the range. Review Summary: A great driver for the advancing player. I'm sure that I will step up to an R7 after the prices (and my handicap) start going down, but this club will be missed when I do. It really is a great club.

Purchase: Acquired through outlet to replay King Cobra Driver. Hit it straighter, but not longer. Pros: Forgiveness. Cons: Can't hit it very far. 235 yds max. Quality: Bubble Shaft. Review Summary: Driver is very easy to control and when miss-hit doesn't give drastic slices. On 2002-05-09, Brian Johnson rated this TaylorMade Firesole a 5...(93)
Purchase: I've been golfing for 5 years now. The last two years and starting this year i'm a consistant golfer at 40-45. After playing well for a while I know figured out that all i need to do is hit greens in reg. i'm a consistant 2 putter. I only have midsize woods and needed length to try and get a smaller iron to hit into the green. I bought this club at an Austad Golf store for $120. Pros: I'm left handed so i got real lucky in finding a 10.5 degree with a TS-100 graphite shaft. What i wanted. I've only had this club for 2 weeks but i've never hit a driver this straight before. I've started using more PW and 8-iron's into greens. So far I haven't seen my score make a large drop but I don't expect it either. Only 2-weeks usuing smaller irons into greens i used to use 6's and 7's. I'll get used to it and my score should grab 39 a few times, which is my goal for the year. Cons: I seriously havn't found anything that I don't like about this club. But since you've asked i'll mention one thing. The club was so lite it took a bit of practice to get used to. I don't think that's much of a bad thing because I can get past that with practice. Quality: Taylor Made is a great golf company so we all know quite a bit about it. The normal Orangish head with a Bubble shaft. The grip is soft and feels good. Review Summary: I haven't seen too many studies on drivers but i did see one where this club got a terrible review. They said it wasn't very forgiving and wasn't very long at all. I don't know how long they hit the ball but i've been hitting this thing over 250 regularly. Which i couldn't do before because I sliced my old one. If you want to spend a small about of money go find a store with the Firesole for $120. If you want a small amount of distance extra then go spend $400 on a Callaway or Nike. I'll still be hitting 8 through PW to greens just like you with your $400 club.
